Dubai: Dhwani’s much appreciated drama 'Swapnavasavadatte' launched on YouTube

Dubai, May 17: The Kannada version of Sanskrit mahakavi Basa’s popular drama 'Swapnavasavadatte' was staged successfully here in January by Dhwani amateur artists. The drama’s YouTube upload was launched by guests and artists on May 11 at Burj Kahaleefa residence Tower Theater.

Businessman Devkumar Kambli and Satish Hindera were the guests of the evening. Prakash Rao Payyar, the director of the drama and president of Dhwani Pratishtana welcomed the guests and expressed his happiness regarding successful and houseful show of the drama and its response. To make this drama to reach millions of Lannadiga’s all over the world, is the main reason behind the YouTube launch of this great drama, he said.

Kambli addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of Dhwani in upholding the Kannada theater, culture and literature.

Another guest Satish Hindera a regular at Dhwani dramas lauded Dhwani for its drama selection and presentation.Wished Dhwani to bring more great dramas to Kannada theater of Dubai. He wholeheartedly praised all the artists for their performance, dedication and ability.

Arathi Adiga spoke about, how different are Dhwani’s drama from others and criteria of selection of their stories which are ever relevant yet food for brain. Also, she mentioned about the points to be improved and implemented.

The programme was attended by all the artists and prominent Kannada leaders of the region. Nagabushan Kashyaps melodious rendered prayer and began the programme. Ashok Anchan rendered the vote of thanks and Shweta Nadig Sharma compered the programme.
