Kundapur, May 15: Two of the Congress candidates from the coast who are awaiting the result of the just-concluded assembly election in the state visited the famous Goddess Mookambika temple at Kollur on Monday May 14 and prayed to the presiding deity to grant them success.
Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister, B Ramanath Rai, came to the temple late evening on Monday, paid obeisance to the goddess and took part in 'Mangalarati'.
Earlier in the day, Vinay Kumar Sorake visited the temple and sought blessings of the goddess.
Ramanath Rai represents Bantwal constituency in the state assembly and has been fielded again this time as Congress candidate from this constituency. Vinay Kumar Sorake, sitting MLA from Kaup constituency, is fighting the election this time with Congress ticket.
