Jeddah: Centre Systems BBCL Season 2 witnesses two days of glorious matches

Jeddah, May 9: In the third week of Centre Systems BBCL Season 2 Middle East Asia Cup, powered by Indomie, Careem, BTech and supported by AAA Builders, Zamzam Tonight Restaurant, Gourmet Sweets, Air India, SAB, Pepsi, PPL, Paradise Restaurant and IJFF media partner, six matches were played on May 4 and 5.

In the first of the matches, Islamabad Warriors defeated R C India by seven wickets in their last league match. Batting first, R C India scored 98/2 in ten overs with Imran at the top scoring 44 runs and Ayazuddin was unbeaten on 35. Rahmath took 2 wickets for 18 runs.



Islamabad Warriors chased the target of 99 runs losing three wickets in 5.4 overs with explosive batting by Fahad who scored 60 off just 15 balls with nine sixes and a boundary. Afreed took two wickets for 21 runs.

In the second match, Centre Systems defeated Indomie Dragons by eight wickets. Batting first, Indomie was restricted to 94/7 in ten overs with superb bowling by Mazher Yaseen who took three wickets for 27 runs in three overs. Shahzad took two wickets for 15 runs. Zarkhan scored 25 runs for Indomie.

In reply, Centre Systems Dubai reached a target of 95 runs in 6.2 overs losing two wickets with splendid batting performance by Saddam 46 not out and Shahzad 28 not out. The duo added 75 runs to the third wicket.

K O Paulson and Qadeer presented Man of the Match to Mazher Yaseen for taking three wickets for 37 runs.

In the third match, Young Star Pakistan continued its winning streak defeating Al Max Sri Lanka by five runs in an exciting match. Batting first, Young Star scored 136/2 in ten overs with a brilliant score of 60 not out by Aamir Siddique well supported by Humayun who was unbeaten on 39. Shafran and Rukhshan took a wicket each.

Al Max Sri Lanka scored 131/4 and lost the match by five runs in an exciting finish. Rukhshan scored 40 runs off 19 balls and Asela 21 off 8 balls. Irfan, Furqan and Asif took a wicket each.

Amir Siddique was declared Man of the Match scoring 60 not out.

In the fourth match, Indomie Dragons in their last league match defeated IDB by 67 runs. Batting first, Indomie scored 148/4 in ten overs with Babar blasting 51 not out off 18 balls with seven sixes, Mazher Abbasi 26 and Sami ur Rehman 24. Taher and Abed took a wicket each.

In reply, IDB were restricted to 81/9 in ten overs with Imran scoring 20 runs. Zarkhan, Sami and Faiyaz took two wickets each.

Babar with his score of 51 was declared Man of the Match.

In the fifth match, Lothers Jeddah batting first against Careem KSA, were bowled out for 84 in 10 overs, Khaled scored 21 and Waqas Ali scored 14, Waqas and Bilal took two wickets each and a wicket each for Israr, Aftab and Shafaqat.

Careem KSA achieved the target of 86 runs in 6.2 overs with Shafaqat scoring 30 runs and Shams remained unbeaten on 28.

Shafaqat was declared Man of the Match with 30 runs and one wicket.

In the last league match, Lothers Jeddah defeated Al Max Sri lanka. Batting first, Lothers Jeddah scored 140/4 with the contribution of 85 not out runs by Samiullah with 12 sixes.

Chasing 140, Al Max could only manage 84/6 in ten overs losing the match by 56 runs. Ibrar and Ali Shah took two wickets each.

Samiullah was Man of the Match on 85 not out.

Indomie Dragons 148/4 in 10 overs (Babar 51, Mazher Abbasi 26, Sami 24, Abid 1/20, and Tahir 1/22) beat IDB 81/9 in 10 overs (Imran 20, Zarkhan 2/17, Sami 2/13, Faiyaz 2/15)

Lothers Jeddah 85 all out in 10 overs (Khaled 21, Waqas Ali 14, Bilal 2/15, Waqas 2/18 and Bilal 2/15) lost to Careem KSA 86/2 in 6.2 overs (Shafaqat 30, Shams 28 not out)

Lothers Jeddah 140/4 in 10 overs (Samiullah 85 not out, Farshath 2/24 beat Al Max 84/6 in 10 overs (Sushanta 19, Farshath 15, Ibrar 2/13, Ali Shah 2/12).
