Udupi, Apr 27: “Narendra Modi led BJP government at the center is stationed perpetually in the minds of people in the country. Congress has faced defeat in the elections held in various states in the country during the last four years. BJP has won resounding victory. BJP is bound to win gloriously in Karnataka also,” said BJP national vice president and Rajya sabha member Om Prakash Mathur.

He gave information to office bearers, elected representatives and activists in Kaup BJP office about effectively facing elections.



In a keynote address, BJP district president Mattar Rathnaker Hegde asked everybody to start working for the success of Narendra Modi’s programme in Udupi from May 1. “House to house campaigning will be held in the district from April 28. The programme should be shaped to make campaign in all the 203 election booths here successful.”

Constituency president Prakash Shetty Padebettu chaired the meeting. Member of Vidhana Parishad Srinivas Poojary, Kaup candidate Lalaji R Mendon, district vice-president Suresh Shetty Gurme, Yashpal Suvarna, Kuiladi Suresh Nayak, district secretary Ramakanth Devadiga, district spokesman Katpadi Shanker Poojary, zilla panchayat vice-president Sheela K Shetty, Women’s morcha district president Nayana Ganesh, party office bearers, members of district, taluk and municipal council and Shakti Kendra and booth level activists were present.

Shamala Kunder welcomed the gathering. Jithendra Shetty rendered the vote of thanks.
