Puttur: Groom to be bike rider succumbs in accident

Puttur, Apr 26: In a tragic incident reported from Pedamale on Uppinangady - Guruvayanakere state highway near here, a bike rider died after his bike collided with a truck on the morning of Wednesday April 25.

Ashok (29), son of Honnappa Poojary, a resident of Moodabail, Piligoodu is the person who lost his life in the accident. He was heading toward Guruvayanakere when the truck that was approaching Uppinangady from the opposite direction collided with his bike.

Ashok was a driver by profession and his marriage was supposed to be held on April 30. It is learnt that he was running around to complete the chores in relation to his marriage. It is learnt that he was a respectable youth in the locality where he lived.

Puttur traffic police have arrested Khader, a resident of Sampaje and driver of the said truck and a case in this regard is registered against him.
