Mangaluru: Tulu film ‘Appe Teacher’ earns Rs 1.90 cr in 25-day run

Mangaluru, Apr 25: Tulu film ‘Appe Teacher’ which released on March 23, has earned Rs 1.90 cr in its 25-day run. According to sources, the film has earned Rs 1 cr from the multiplexes and Rs 90 lac from single screen theatres.

The producer has earned his investment at present and with the film still running, the profits will increase. ‘Appe Teacher’ has earned good reviews from the audience and hence is running to packed houses. The film is being screened at Jyothi, Big Cinemas, PVR, INOX multiplexes and also in theatres at Beltangady, Puttur, Karkala, Sullia, Udupi, Moodbidiri and Karkala. The film recently released in theatres at Koppa and Madikeri. There are requests for screening in Bengaluru, Mumbai and overseas.

Sunil and Niriksha Shetty play the lead in the movie, while Usha Bhandary, Devdas Kaapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Sathish Bandale, Sandeep Shetty, and Shailashree are playing prominent roles in the movie. The film has been produced under the banner of Swayam Prabha movies and entertainment.

Sandalwood movie fame Ravi Basrur composed the background music of ‘Appe Teacher’. The dubbing process of the film was done at Daijiworld Audio Visual Pvt Ltd.
