Bantwal, Apr 25: The ground in front of the park in B C Road is being prepared for the arrival of Congress national president Rahul Gandhi here on April 27. Congress Bantwal campaign committee president K Sanjiva Poojary Bollayi said that nearly 20,000 activists will take part in the programme.

Speaking at the campaign committee office in B C Road on Tuesday, April 24, he said that Rahul Gandhi will disembark from the helicopter at Modankapu and will reach the ground through the highway. “National level, state level and district level leaders will take part. Congress candidate B Ramanath Rai will shoulder the leadership responsibilities,” he said requesting activists in Bantwal and party fans to take part.

“Minister Ramanath Rai has indulged in brisk campaign. Booth level meetings are over. Zone level meeting will be held after this. BJP is trying to mislead people by making different false statements every day. Development works by Ramanath Rai during the last five years will make Congress win.

“Ramanath Rai in his long political life, has worked hard sincerely for the development of the constituency forgetting party differences. People have identified it and they will support him this time also. BJP is trying to hide his achievements through propaganda but people will not become their victims,” he said.

Panemangaluru block congress president B M Abbas Ali, district Congress vice-president Baby Kunder, district chief secretary Rajashekar Nayak, Parameshwar Moolya and Madhusoodan Shenoy were present.
