Mangaluru: BJP candidate Dr Bharath Shetty files nomination, promises able leadership

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Apr 23: BJP candidate for Mangaluru North Dr Bharath Shetty, who is making his electoral debut, filed his nomination here on Monday April 23.

Prior to filing his nomination, he came in procession from his constituency flanked by his supporters .

Speaking to reporters later, Dr Shetty said, "PM Modi-led government believes in youth power. The PM has always backed youth and is implementing various programmes for them. For the first time I have got an opportunity to contest elections. The party and its workers have reposed their faith in me.

"I will utilize this opportunity to give able leadership. There is an immediate need to throw out the corrupt Congress government from the state. It has failed in all departments. In Dakshina Kannada, the reign of Congress MLAs has made people's life miserable. They have backed communal forces and tried to divide the society. So people will teach them a lesson in this election. I am sure the people of Mangaluru North are with me and they will help in my victory," he said.

BJP district committee leaders and a large number of supporters accompanied him.

I have nothing against individual candidates, but I don't see why any sensible person would want to vote for a party that brings about that the return of the mining mafia, and take the state back to the gory old days of lawlessness and open loot. While succumbing to talk about candidates, people can't ignore what is in store if the BJP comes to power. God save karnataka

A vote for any BJP candidate is a vote for the return of the mining mafia and the entire corrupt dispensation that was booted out in 2013. This time, it is also accompanied by harcore extremism. With reddy brothers, Yeddyurappa and extremists wanting to take control of the state once again, I shudder at the future

Its time to rise above the cast , creed , greed based politics and start thinking of building a nation that the world is proud of and we are proud of.  A public servant like Dr Bharath Shetty not only  represents crores of young Indians but is also the voice of youth Mangalore. We need sustainable development in conjunction with  environmental protection and reduction of pollution, rather than just a fly over which took years to complete.  We need round the clock basic amenities like power and water and medical care , rather than hollow promises of riches.  What we want resonates with what Dr Bharath Shetty  stands for. We need some one who can unite all casts and religions , and this what Dr Bharath Shetty Stands for, unlike the rest who believe in divide and rule. The youth stands by Dr Bharath Shetty and So must all who want to see a better Mangalore.
