10-year-old girl sexually assaulted on train by former BJP candidate

Erode, Apr 23 (DC): A Chennai-based lawyer was arrested on Sunday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl on a train on Saturday. The lawyer identified as KP Prem Ananth, was a former BJP candidate from RK Nagar for 2006 Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

The girl, who was travelling with her family on Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai express, was fast asleep on her berth when the advocate allegedly molested her.

The girl woke up and raised an alarm, following which her family nabbed the lawyer and informed the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE).

Ananth had boarded the train from Coimbatore, police said.

He was handed over to railway police in Erode, where a case was registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.

The lawyer was later lodged in a prison in Coimbatore.

    After investigation, there was no eye witness found for this assault. Hence , arrested leader is being acquitted..

    This will be for each case . So the , law passed only for name sake...let us see how many will get death sentence...

    We all were proud that they are ruling 22 states of this nation. But all the rape cases are from these states. All the politicians are shame less and taking steps taking steps taking steps to stop rape. where are those steps? Your government, your law body, your president...who else you want to make a decision to give death penalty in a fast track court with in a week. One such punishment will stop 80% of rapes in this nation. At least one ...just one.. BJP was elected with a new hope of transforming India. Its ok if you do not transform at least don't do this for those infants. God will not forgive you. THIS APPLIES FOR ALL THE PARTIES AND POLITICIANS. I am not commenting to get your likes or dislikes...this of that baby who is in your own home and these things happens in your home.
