Don't give 'masala' to media: PM Modi asks BJP motormouths to keep quiet

New Delhi, Apr 22 (Deccan Chronicle): Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again cautioned the BJP motormouths to keep quiet and not get carried away while making statements on "relevant issues".

He said that it should be left to the party spokesperson to comment on issues.

PM Modi was addressing BJP MPs and MLAs across India via video conferencing through the 'Narendra Modi App' on Sunday.

"Sometimes our workers blame the media. But have we ever thought that we provide 'masala' to media through our own mistakes? Whatever be the issue, we start speaking, as soon as we spot a camera," Modi told his partymen.

"Media is doing their job and ours is to do our work," he said.

"They'll (media) obviously use parts of your sentences as per their convenience. It isn't media which is at fault. We'll have to control ourselves. Only they must give statements who've been given responsibility to do so," he added.

Modi's advice comes in the wake of increased outrages over the infamous Kathua and Unnao rape cases which have taken the country by a storm.

Last year, the prime minister had lectured his partymen on how and when to keep quiet.

“Every time I switch on television, I see a BJP leader making one or the other statement. You need lessons on keeping quiet,” a party functionary had quoted the PM as saying.

PM Modi is the father of spoon feeding the media with "Masalas". He spent four years of his tenure only to realise at the fag end of his tenure that "Masalas" boomerang. He is bluffer and a duffer. Like Trump who is a noisy helicopter as stated by Queen Elizabeth, Mr Modi is a noisy Ambassador car which has failed to get a "Fitness Certificate" from the RTO and pollutes the environment with its smoke.

BJP leaders and members are just following exactly what you do. So why are you blaming them ? You are completely silent when there is something negative against your party but rest of the time your mouth is wide open when you have to blame the Congress, Nehru and Rahul Gandhi or when you have to beg for votes or when you have to make some new hollow slogan or false promise. Soon, when you will be in Karnataka for campaigning we will see that wide open mouth again.

In an open letter, BJP leader Yashwant Sinha pointed out the failures of the Modi government and told BJP members, “If you remain silent now you will do a great disservice to the country”
In a nine points letter addressed to PM Modi former Union Finance Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart Yashwant Sinha called upon party members to stand up against the government and it’s failures Yashwant Sinha made the following points in his letter:
    1. The government has now completed nearly four years in office, presented five budgets and used up all the opportunity available to it to show results. At the end of it, however, we seem to have lost our way and the confidence of the voters.
    2. Corruption has raised its ugly head again and banking scams are tumbling out of the closet one after another. The scamsters also manage to run away from the country somehow, as the government watches helplessly.
    3. Rapes have become the order of the day and instead of acting strictly against the rapists we have become their apologists. In many cases, our own people are involved in these heinous crimes.
    4. Today, it appears as if winning elections by controlling the means of communication, specially the media and social media, is the sole purpose of our party and even that is threatened seriously now. The chances of your winning the election, even if you get the ticket are fairly remote. In the last Lok Sabha election the BJP had secured only 31% votes; 69% was polled against it. So, if the opposition unites, you will be nowhere.
    5. The most important threat that has emerged over the last four years, however, is to our democracy. Institutions of democracy have been demeaned and denigrated. Parliament has been reduced to the level of a joke.

Winning polls by controlling media is the only aim of BJP says Yashwant Sinha. When the facts are in open from his party member he calls it 'Masala'.
Does he have explanation for motormouth BJP Sambit patra 27 lakh ONGC director post?

Not bothered about the crimes and foul and dirty talks by their Ministers. Just bothered about the image of the party.
This same person just recently boasted about himself that he doesn't work by keeping election in mind. Now he is suggesting his people not to speak just to retain the image of the party. He is not angry because they are wrong.
