Yogi Adityanath withdraws security cover of Unnao rape accused BJP MLA

Lucknow, Apr 20 (Deccan Chronicle): The Yogi Adityanath government has withdrawn security personnel assigned to Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who was arrested by the CBI in connection with the alleged rape of 17-year-old girl from Unnao district.

The lawmaker had the 'Y' category security cover, which entitled him to 11 security men, including commandos and police personnel.

The CBI, which is probing the Unnao rape case, has registered three cases against Sengar in regard to the crime he allegedly committed in 2017.

The Uttar Pradesh police had charged him under sections 363 (kidnapping), 366 (abduction of woman), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and handed over the case to the CBI.

A special CBI court on Monday recorded statement of the alleged victim. The in-camera statement was recorded under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Last week, the probe agency also made a second arrest in the Unnao rape case. It took into custody Shashi Singh, the woman who allegedly took the victim to Sengar on the day of crime.

    The present govt has to introduce a new law for this type of crimes, than only we hope people get scared of doing so. they have to be punished like as in arab countries. who ever supporting the rapist should also bring into the loop of law.

    a separate case has to be registered for the supporters of rapists. why rapists only and also for ill treating with females.

    the leaders has thought that , they will come of this, by having power with them. and hence every indians has to unite together and protest for these types of crimes.

    When CBI under Modi's rule can protect him round the clock...why he need this security????? Yogi, Please stop making this drama...if you , Modi or Shah are honest then remove/dismiss him from the party and MLA post.

    When Kathua rape victim was finally laid to rest despite protest, yet another rape this time from Uttar Pradesh of Nine-year-old raped, killed.
    Less than a week after an eight-year-old was lured from a wedding function and raped and then murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s Etah district, a nine-year-old was raped and killed in the district the same way on Friday, police said.

    The accused is a boy who was part of the cooking team hired for a pre-wedding ceremony in Kailtha village.

    He lured the girl to a field behind the venue where he raped her and then strangled her as she tried to raise an alarm, the police said.

    On Monday, another girl went missing from a wedding she had gone to attend with her family in Etah. Her body was found the next morning in a field. A drunk youth, found lying beside her, was arrested on suspicion of raping and murdering her.

    CRY has done a cumulative analysis which revealed a rise of sexual crimes against children to 106,958 in 2016 as against 18,967 in 2006.

    “More than 50 per cent of crimes against children have been recorded in just five states: Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and West Bengal,” said a CRY statement.

    According to the NGO, while Uttar Pradesh topped the list with 15 per cent of recorded crimes against children, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh came close at 14 and 13 per cent respectively.

    The BJP is Karnataka has already distributed tickets to rapist and wife murders,now Yogi is on his way for campaigning for those rapist to bring to power.
    When Yogi said 'rape dead Muslim women', PM Modi made him Chief Minister. Just days before Unnao rape MLA happens CM Yogi government cleared the rape case against 'Swami Chinmayananda' member of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and key member in Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
    How safe Hindu Rashtra which BJP is aspiring, when UP becomes number rapist state against minors and Gujarat for Dalits?
    What is the point of withdrawing security when justice can't be delivered to victim?
