Mangaluru, Apr 20: A variety fashion show presented by the students of fashion designing degree course of prestigious Karavali College affiliated to Mangaluru University near Kottara Chowki here on the evening of Thursday April 19 came in for lot of appreciation as it catered to the tastes of the current day youngsters.

With the hosting of this unique fashion show, fashion designing students of Karavali College have succeeded in creating high expectations from among the people in the field of dress designing.

The perfect cat walk presented by the male and female students of the college and beautiful smiles they wore on their faces brought cheers in the minds of the people among the audiences. The clothes worn by the models, who were the students of the college and who themselves designed these clothes, came in for lavish appreciation.

The fashion show had traditional round in which exquisitely made traditional dresses which uphold Indian culture were presented, western round in which clothes as per western culture were showcased, creative round which brought to the fore skill and craftsmanship of the students, Indo-western round which was a blend of national and international culture, and function, party wear round etc.

In the fast-changing current scenario, new dress designs have lot of importance and demand. Because of the intelligence and skills displayed by the fashion designing students of the college, dresses designed for these shows every year have been creating waves everywhere.

Fashion designing students of Karavali College have already bagged abundant opportunities. They have been well-placed in various dress designing companies abroad, textile industry, cinema field etc. They have also been functioning as designers, choreographers, merchandisers, quality controllers, besides owning their own boutiques.
