Bengaluru, Apr 19: Actor Shashikumar, a Congress ticket aspirant from Hosadurga has joined the JD(S) after being denied ticket here on April 19.
His decision to switch over to the JD(S) came after the Congress decided to field B G Govindappa from Hosadurga constituency.
It is learnt that JD(S) is planning to field Shashikumar from the same Hosadurga constituency. He joined the JD(S) at the presence of H D Deve Gowda.
Earlier on Wednesday April 18, actress Amulya, her husband and father-in-law joined the JD(S).
In 2013, B G Govindappa contested from Hosadurga constituency and won against independent candidate Shekhar Goolihatti.
