Mangaluru, Apr 18: Congress' woes over ticket denial to some of the aspirants seem to be getting worse by the day. On Wednesday April 18, over 80 members of NSUI, the student wing of Congress tendered their resignation after the Youth Congress president Mithun Rai was denied ticket from Moodbidiri.

The move comes a day after several Youth Congress leaders and members announced their resignations over the same issue.

Addressing a press meet here, Roopesh Rai, state general secretary of NSUI, said, "The Youth Congress has a strong base in the entire Dakshina Kannada region because of a strong leader like Mithun Rai. The Youth Congress has helped the NSUI to grow and flourish in the district. Mithun Rai has been our role model and he is the only person who stood by district students at the time of crisis. We are growing because of a leader like Rai who has built the party from the grassroots level."

He further said, "Rai who started his career from the NSUI has been denied ticket by the party ahead of assembly polls. We thought that it would be a moral victory for us if our leader had represented the students and the youth in the Karnataka assembly. Unfortunately, our leader has been denied the ticket. We urge the party to reconsider the decision.

"In case Mithun Rai joins any other party, we will follow him. Our leader is deeply hurt and he has not been responding to our calls. We will wait for his future course of action.

"We have decided to tender our resignations through district Congress committee as we stand by our leader and would continue to work for the party in future too," he added.

Sachin Kulai, Abhishek Ullal, Suman Shetty, Joshua and others were present at the press meet.

Please consider Mithun for Member of Parliament. We need a youth leader from a good family background. Fed Nalini Kumar, who is good to burn Dakshina Kannada and unable to complete the flyover work at pumpwell. Apt example of Mangana kaiyali manikya.

Any politician, should have one term, max two terms as a policy. All good leaders get a chance, and once in the national state scenario, people problems are understood and one can work even without being mla/mp

My advise to the protesters is Mithun is very young, talented and has lot of opportunities in future.
Please do not spoil his career by staging protests and airing grievances through press conference. There may be a genuine reason why he was denied a ticket.
Please remember the world is not coming to an end. . Let us wish him good luck . Mithun is always Mithun.

A young Rizwan Arsad Youth Congress leader from Bangalore got the ticket to lok Sabha election it was not so easy he climbed to this stage from....,,.
He started his political career from NSUI as College President, District General Secretary, State General Secretary, National General Secretary. Then continued his career with Indian Youth Congress as State Vice President, National Secretary after that the transformation system of election was bought in the frontal organisations of Congress by Shri.

Rahul Gandhi with a vision of opening the doors to common youths & students in the party. He won the election with the halfway margin for the first time as the President of KPYCC and again He won the consecutive time by a very huge margin. He became MLC.

Time is gone where anyone who becomes a candidate from Congress would win. That’s how people like Veerappa Moily won those days. In the current political scenario you need excellent leaders to win elections. They have blundered denying tickets to Uday Shetty and Mithun Rai. Siddramaiah shouldn’t have allowed Moily and his man Ivan to ruin the party chances for selfish gains.

Some are blindly commenting here. Definitely there will be solution behind the scene and shortly the settlement will be done. Also just few months back, Mitun and Ivan were close. If both would have sat together and sorted out, one of them could have got the ticket.

One should not forget, what happened to J. P. Hegde in Udupi district.

. This is nothing but we'll orchestrated drama and emotional blackmail. If Mithun Rai is a sincere to his party ,then he should respect the decision of the high command and work for the party .
Winning internal congress election does not make him a mass leader . He does not repersent the youth. He represents youth congress only.
