Bengaluru: Lingayat seers praise Siddaramaiah, indirectly announce support to Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Apr 8: A meeting of the heads of Lingayat Maths that was held here on Saturday April 7 announced that the people following Lingayat faith will vote for the party which supports their fight for the tag of separate religion for Lingayat. The religious leaders lavishly praised Siddaramaiah and indirectly hinted that they want Lingayat people to support Congress party.

This decision was taken at the meeting that was attended by Gadag Thontadarya Swamiji, Sharanaru of Murugha Math in Chitradurga, Pattada Devaru of Bhalki, Naganur Swamiji, and about 50 other religious heads.

Shivamurthy Swamiji of Muruga Math heaped praises on the state government and chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, for the total support extended to the demand for separate religious status for Lingayat. He said that heads of Lingayat Maths do not direct their followers to vote for any particular party, and that they have no hidden agenda. He stated that the opinion of the religious heads who assembled here was that religion should stay away from politics, but praised the CM for the work done by his government in support of Lingayat.

The Swamiji further stated that an effort to pressurize the central government to give its nod to the said demand would be made and that if possible, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will be personally met in an effort convince him to agree to the demand for separate religion tag for Lingayat.

He felt that the opinion expressed by national president of BJP, Amit Shah, about not according religious status to Lingayat is his personal as he does not represent the government. He said that further course of action would be decided once the union government comes out with its official stand on the issue.

In the next PM Modi will prostate in front of Lingayat Swamiji and beg for votes like 'Bhiksham dev'.

But in my 'Basava Tatva' should not be mixed with politics. Basavana is himself is the reformer in Hindu religion who wanted to eradicate untouchability through his movement. If 'Lingayat' is recognised as minority religion then it will certainly end Brahminical hegemony. The Sangh Parivar which run by dominate Brahmans will never like to see this happen in India. They will use the same game plan which they used against 'Jainism' and 'Buddhism' once dominant religion even before the invaders steped in.

Congress party was a great national party which gave India the structure to seperate politics from religion so that every citizen can practice his faith according to his consciousness.
But look what is happening! Every politicians is practicing politicization of faith. It is dangerous!

Congress is reciprocating what BJP has done in the past. The difference is BJP and its fringe groups use violence, provoking the public, instigating the youths to achieve their target where as Congress is using political diplomacy.

Welcome move by Lingayat Seers. I am hopeful that Congress will win most of the seats in Karnataka and this will lead to its grand win in next MP election. I want to see great double 00 seats for bjp in karnataka and remarkable defeat in MP election also. We need bjp mukt bharat otherwise there will not be improvement + peace in India. Close supporgters of bjp have fled to other countries with huge of amount of public money and i dont think this was done without help of political support. We want to know who supported these looters to fled from India.

Very nice comment... What you said is 💯 percent true... Ask for jobs, don't spend your days on someone's hard earned money..
No one from any political party offers you food, shelter and clothing..its we, who have to shed our sweat and look after our families, their needs, hospitalization etc etc. No candidate will come to your rescue in the most difficult situation.. Only we run to others help irrespective of caste, creed and religion... Simply supporting the political parties and create enmity amongst us.. Instead, if we wish, let us concentrate on beautiful social work from which most needy people get benefitted. Jai Bharath Matha

..i really wonder how Congress get away with this anti society/anti community society..No one questions them on Patel/Jat/Lingayat..the riots/burning/deaths...MODI once said in parliament " no one blames death..Death is a blessing . it's above criticism . no one criticises death. People say someone died of cancer, he died of old age ..The cancer and old age is blamed but not the death," he said."Sometimes I feel Congress is also blessed (like death) ..No one criticise the Congress, if we questions them then every one says the opposition is under attack," ..

One simple request to all those who think and believe that Muslim's are jihadis and Christians are converters... Just stand in your balcony or verandah or outside compound, and cast a glance around your house and start counting how many are converted and how many have done terrorism or what you say jihadi work... If the people around you are the same from the past, then stop pointing out at other religions that they are converters or jihadis!!!!????
If there's no remarkable change, then don't believe those who s poison in your mind, if there's truth then fight for justice....jai Bharat Matha

After Lingayats, even Telugu people of Karnataka have also pledged their support to Congress. In Bengaluru there are lakhs of Software Engineers of Andhra Origin. Last time they all voted for BJP since their iconic leader Chandra babu Naidu had tie-up with BJP. But this time since Chandra babu Naidu has broken away from BJP and as he considers BJP as the biggest enemy new Andhra, the Telugu Techies of Bengaluru have decided to vote against BJP in this Karnataka Election also. Bengaluru alone has 28 MLA seats and last time BJP won 13 out of it and Cong won 12 and JDS only 3.
But this time due to revolt of Lingayats and Telugu people against BJP in Bengaluru the BJP may not win more than 5 seats in the City. Congress will win atleast 18 seats in the city, that is six more than last time.
Besides Bengaluru Techies have now learnt that PM Modi is just a semi-literate person and hence incapable of understanding the economic problems of such a big country. He is fit to be just a Chief Minister of a small state and not a Prime Minister of such a big country.

What did the highly literate PM MMS do ?? just a bundle of scams ?? Coalition dharma or drama .....!!! He was just a Robot acting on Madams instructions.... being elder than her falling at at feet to seek blessing ...!! Inflation was at all time high.... All his ministries had contributed to one or other scam.... Just being highly literate doesn't make you a good leader..... Its the same case in every field... all people who have studied in IIT/IIM etc are not at top positions.... you need to manage the work and the team to achieve the gold.... technical or detail knowledge is not required...basics are enough.... same thing the Management does.... N Chandrashekar now leads the Tata Group..... does he have knowledge in all the fields in which Tata has its businesses ?? No... but he knows how to manage it.... thts the point.... and Modi knows it...

Shankracharya destroyed the much revered Budhism in India. Before Shankaracharya Budhism was a majority religion in India. Nagarjunakonda in Adnhra pradesh is a testimony to destruction of Budhism by Shankara and his disciples.
It is the Budhism alone which preached Equality and fought against heinous caste system of India. After Buddha it is Basaveshvara who preached that all castes are equal. After Basavanna Karnataka has not produced any Saints who preached against inhuman caste system.
Your Shankaracharya was openly in favour of dividing the society in the name of castes and treating the lower castes like animals. He openly supported the exploitation of the weaker section of the society and also the women in the name of God. & Religion.

When all thieves and anti nationals become selfish no one can help.... everyone knows there is no single leader in India who can single handedly stand against Modi and win an election.... so all bunch of scamsters and looters who are unable to mint money since 2014 have stood against him... including his previous supporters like TDP.... Modi has stopped all NGOs who used to fund these parties in the name of animal protection...women/children protection etc... it was only name sake.... getting money from abroad and use it for anti national activities... religious conversions etc have stopped... so these "LIKE MINDED SECULAR" people are getting irritated and have decided that by hook-or-crook they have to remove Modi in 2019.... & they might have full financial backing from other countries too... they can't debate with him on the works he has done.. instead they will create caste based political agitations in each state.... destroy peoples money and say Modi is unable to run the country.... shame

Your quote "When all thieves and anti nationals become selfish no one can help.... everyone knows there is no single leader in India who can single handedly stand against Modi and win an election.... "
If you and your Modi are so confident, then why all big leaders of BJP lead by Modi & Shah are again and again coming to Karnataka to face one single Siddaramaiah. Because your BJP communal leaders don't have the capacity to face Siddu.

Your quote "they can't debate with him on the works he has done.. "
First of all something must be there to debate. Without doing anything in 4 long years, how one can come and debate. Ask your Feku Maharaj Modi to do something and then people will come for debate.
