Bengaluru: BJP-JD(S) secret pact to defeat CM Siddaramaiah and son?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Apr 6: It is likely that BJP and JD(S) has entered a ‘secret pact’ to defeat chief minister Siddaramaiah who will contest from Chamundeshwari constituency and his son Dr Yathindra who will contest from Varuna constituency.

According to political analysts, JD(S) is planning to field political heavyweight and current Chamundeshwari MLA G T Devegowda against Siddaramaiah. BJP may help JD(S) by fielding a weak candidate in Chamundeshwari and JD(S) may return the favour in Varuna.

It may be a battle between the sons, with BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa's son B Y Vijayendra most likely to take on Dr Yathindra in Varuna.

Though BJP and JD(S) have refuted alliance rumours, strategies are being planned to defeat their common foe Congress.

It is said that V Srinivas Prasad of BJP and A H Vishwanath of JD(S) who quit Congress last year after fall out with Siddaramaiah, are meeting with G T Devegowda to chalk out plans to ensure Siddaramaiah’s defeat.

Vishwanath in an interview with a TV channel had said that Chamundeshwari won’t be easy for Siddaramaiah. "Hubris will finish him. He thinks too much of himself," he had said.

Risk or political suicide?

To make it easy for his son to enter the state Assembly, Siddaramaiah gave up his safe seat in Varuna and returned to his old seat in Chamundeshwari. However, many are pointing out that it is a huge mistake and the CM’s decision could be a political suicide.

When Siddaramaiah visited villages in Chamundeshwari constituency, the voters were not very welcoming and questioned him about lack of development, sources said. When he blamed the incumbent MLA GT Devegowda, they defended him by saying that it was his responsibility as CM to release funds.

Chamundeshwari has 72,000 Vokkaligas and 30,000 Lingayat votes. The backward classes, Muslims, SC/STs together have over a lac votes. Siddaramaiah has won five times from Chamundeshwari between 1983 and 2008. First time as an independent, second time from Janata Party, third time on Janata Dal, fourth time on JD(S) and the last time on Congress ticket.

Siddaramaiah is also said to be wooing voters with sentiments, asking their support for his last election.

Guerilla warfare is the act of a coward. If both BJP and JD(S) are political parties of character and integrity they should put up a fight without accommodating each other with a weak candidate by either of them. Ungrateful JD(S) should remember that Mr. Devegowda became PM only because of the charity and courtesy of the Congress. Throughout the JD(S) has played the politics of betrayal - of the trust of the people reposed in them and in good governance.

Yeddy is far far better, it's he who nurtured the then BJP in Karnataka.
I wish Yeddy to join a clean n stable government in Karnataka.
That will do much good for him and for Karnataka.
The people of Karnataka will remember him as a brave leader.

Tipu is dead and gone. We need to be more concerned about the modern day butchers and lynchers. We need to be concerned about the Graham Staines and his sons' killers. We need to be concerned about killer Shambhulal Raigar of Rajasthan. We need to be concerned about the Mangalore and elsewhere Church attackers. What about 2002 and others ? Those involved are very much alive ? People still support them. How come ?

As a fact, Siddaramiah may lose the election due to Tipu Jayanti!!!! Because, it's a record that whoever glorify Tipu will enter into the History book!!!!! Sanjay Khan - Sword of Tipu Sultan. Fire on the set of shooting almost taken his life but Money power saved him from certain death . Vijaya Mallya - bought Tipu's sword from auction!!! Where is he now? A Run-away / Absconding international Thief!!!!!! Though Siddaramiah did a lot good to the state of Karnataka, Tipu factor may stand in between him and his seat!!!!!! If Siddaramiah lose this election, no one in future should take Tipu's name. It would be better if Kannadigas wipe out/destroy all records of Tipu the Butcher forever!!!!

    Amith,
. . . . . . and brother, Kannadigas should also tell BJP's Yeddy, Shettar and other BJP leaders that their photographs wearing Tipu Turbans will be kept in safe custody to revive their memories every time they point fingers at CM Siddu or the Congress party.
. . . . and don't worry 'every rule has exceptions'. Congress will win Karnataka, Tipu or no Tipu and will go on to win as part of the coalition at the Centre - first time in 70 years !

This has to happen as all the parties in India does this to defeat their opponents from small panchayat elections to MP elections.
At olden years congress never used to join hands with any parties as they where very strong and lot of people where had faith in them and in kolar highest illiterate people where there and any Tom Dick and Harry used to win by huge margins as they only knew HAND SYMBOL and they thinking Gandhijis families are standing for elections.
Slowly and steadily people and politicians as well came out of Congress party and formed different parties and regional parties came into existence.
All the politicians are selfish nobody are working whole heartedly for the people.
All politicians are good friends and some of them are business partners as well.
They just fool people if anyone goes to MLA or MP quarters all are staying in same building and their kids are good friends.
For example if you go to Mumbai at Worli there is a MLA quarters and all are close friends and have business and they do it in partnership.
In Bangalore there is one MLA s staying in Kaveri Bhavan if I m not wrong all stay together and business men’s come in the night to give or bribe or to give party funds. We people are fools to vote them just visit these places and the reality of politicians will come to know.

For politicians and police and buisnesmen they will do whatever to get money,
