Karkala: NITTE University grabs 77th Rank in NIRF

Karkala, Apr 5: NITTE (Deemed to be University) has been ranked 77th in the National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018, rankings announced by the Ministry for Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.

This is the second year in succession that the young deemed to be university has been ranked amongst the top 100 of the 800+ universities of the country. This year, NITTE has climbed 6 places from the previous ranking of 83. It has been placed 9th in the parameter of Outreach and Inclusivity.

In addition, Nitte Gulabi Shetty Memorial Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, one of the constituent colleges of NITTE (Deemed to be University) has been placed 25th amongst Pharmacy colleges of India with an all India ranking of 2nd in Outreach and Inclusivity.

The NIRF rankings consider performance in the areas of teaching, learning, research productivity, graduate outcomes, outreach, inclusivity and peer perception. The ranking was launched in 2016 to promote quality in education, to encourage competition between higher education institutes and to set new benchmarks of performance. NITTE (Deemed to be University), in a short span of 9 years, has achieved this distinction in addition to being graded ‘A’ by the National and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC).
