Swaraj India led by Yogendra Yadav to contest in Karnataka polls

Bengaluru, Apr 3 (IANS): Swaraj India, led by psephologist-turned-politician Yogendra Yadav, would contest in a dozen seats in the May 12 Karnataka Assembly election, said an official on Tuesday.

"As a new and young party, we are making a modest beginning to contest in a dozen assembly constituencies in the state to usher in probity, transparency and accountability in electoral politics," Swaraj India Spokesman B. David told IANS here.

Releasing the first list of candidates, Yadav said the party would contest two seats in Mandya district, one each in Bengaluru, Chamarajanagara, Chitradurga and Yadgir districts.

The contestants are Darshan Puttannaiah from Melukote and S.H. Linge Gowda from Maddur in Mandya, K.P. Bhoothaiah from Challakere in Chitradurga, S. Srikantaswamy from Hanur in Charamajanagar, Ramesh Chandra from Mahadevapura in Bengaluru and Vaijanath Patil from Yadgir in the state's northwest area.

The 18-month-old party will declare the remaining six or more candidates in the ensuing days, as the Election Commission will notify the Assembly election on April 17, with April 25 the last date for submitting names and April 27 for withdrawal in the single-phase poll. The counting of votes is on May 15.

Deploring the ideological and political vacuum in the country, Yadav told about 200 members of the party's state unit that there was no political force in the country to strengthen democracy, diversity and development.

The party's state unit coordinator Devanoor Mahadeva said the country was facing a strange situation due to global warming.

"This is not a political issue for polls but the absurd development was causing inequality, new diseases and challenges across the country," he said.

Darshan Puttannaiah is the son of the state's farmer leader late K.S. Puttananaiah, who was a member of the outgoing state assembly. He represented the Karnataka Sarvodaya Paksha which merged with Swaraj India in March 2017.

If Swaraj India led by Yogendra Yadav is serious about fighting corruption he should himself contest against former CM Yeddyurappa who was out on bail from jail in demining and denotification cases.

His parties campaign should list all the corruption of Reddy's, Yeddy's, Eshwarappa cash counting machine and so on.

Swaraj India not contesting in Gujarat, North Eastern states in recently concluded assembly elections and selecting Karnataka only create more doubt about his intentions.

Except for Anna Hazare, the Anti-corruption and lokpal movement had almost all ex-babus, i.e. public servants. Some with excellent credentials. People believed them. None, knew they were taking orders from Arun Jaitley. Once BJP came to power, movement was dead immediately, many shed their masks and joined BJP. Some were a little bit ambitious, set up their own party.

UPA paid a heavy price for alleged, to repeat alleged corruption. But, when it comes to BJP even the actual corruption whether it is bank scam, rafael deal scam, all are neither counted nor accounted. Lets say these so called anti-corruption leaders think it is not corruption. Fine.

However, they were all in favor of Lokpal. But, not a word from them till date. If any of these were honest to their own conscience, they would have revolted against BJP by now. This in all proves, they were not actually what they projected themselves to be. People now identify them as bunch of guys with greed for power.

There is no need I guess to identify this personality and political party.

There IS A NEED to identify this personality and political party !
Bullies thrive because people fear to openly talk against them in an equally loud voice. We understand there is no need for foolish bravado as matters need to be dealt with sensibly keeping safety in mind but at the same time there is NO NEED TO RESTRICT NECESSARY ACTION OUT OF FEAR. There is no contradiction here if one gives it proper thought.

Yogendra Yadavji , when you had come to Mangalore on two occasions you had boasted that you will join hands with anyone who are fighting against "Fascist Forces" , (By fascist fores you clearly meant BJP). So your are requested to put your candidates in all the 28 seats in Bengaluru and go on convincing the dumb Software Engineers of Bengaluru that Modi has also not passed his high school exams and he hardly understands the intricacies of our Country's huge Economy. The Educated upper caste people of Bengaluru think that Modi is also highly educated person and he takes all the decisions after due diligence. But very few Bangaloreans know that he is a semi-literate person and he is Zero as compared to the world renowned Economist like Dr. Manmohan Singh. That is why Modi took a disastrous decision like demonetization.
Modi has a Master Degree certificate stating that he has done his Post-graduation in "Entire Political Science". But in this entire world no University is having such a subject named as 'Entire Political Science'. This is sufficient to prove that Modi holds fake degree Certificate.

No chance of that. This guy's party is too insignificant and a virtually nothing party to be able to split anything. The only thing that can get split is his association with the party after seeing his pathetic results.
