Bengaluru: BJP scores another self-goal, cites article on garbage published during own regime!

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (DC)

Bengaluru, Apr 2: After slip of the tongue by its president Amit Shah and leader Prahlad Joshi, Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday April 1 once again committed a blunder causing embarrassment to its own leaders, when it released a 'chargesheet' in a bid to target the ruling Congress government.

The BJP released a chargesheet against the Congress government listing its alleged failures on law and order, poor infrastructure etc. In the chargesheet it mentioned that the garbage menace of Bengaluru city featured even in international media portals like 'New York Times'. But the report on Mandoor garbage disposal was published in the year 2012 when the BJP government with Jagadish Shettar as chief minister was in power.

The BJP high command has been left red faced after the party in a bid to target the ruling government, ended up mentioning about major garbage disposal issue occurred when it was in power along with the BBMP in 2012.

The report was published by the New York Times about Mandoor landfill on October 26, 2012.

Earlier the Congress and the netizens targeted the BJP for using pictures of garbage which were in fact from Mizoram and Nepal garbage and not from Bengaluru in its booklet.

Among the other charges mentioned in the chargesheet, released in three booklets, were a three fold increase in crime in Karnataka, atrocities on Dalits, women and children, attacks on honest officials, killings of Hindutva activists, steep rise in farmers suicides in the last three years, drug mafia ruling the roost in Bengaluru and poor infrastructure in the city.

Releasing the booklet, union minister for law and information and technology, Ravi Shankar Prasad said that the Karnataka government has nothing to show to the public when it seeks votes from them for the May 12 Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters, he said, "Let me tell Siddaramaiah that you have not even four-five outstanding areas of achievements which you can convey (to the public)... you go everywhere (portraying) a negative BJP and negative Yeddyurappa."

The union minister said Congress was losing its base across India due to misgovernance. "The record of the Congress is that it could not win a single seat in Tripura or a single seat in Nagaland, a traditional pro-Congress bastion for the last 70 years." Congress could not perform in Nagaland and Meghalaya. Nagaland has 88 per cent Christian population, he said. On the other hand, BJP is in power in 15 states while its allies are Chief Ministers in seven states, Prasad said.

State BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa, who also spoke, said the Siddaramaiah government has pushed Karnataka behind by at least 20 years in terms of development due to crumbling infrastructure and pathetic law and order in the state.

The saffronist party wants to isolate the one who questions. The policy and actions adopted by our elected representatives affects our own life. Today the farmers and poor are unable to put forward their questions in the current government. Hence there is a need of courage to question and it is only possible when we all unite.

The last five years the BJP ruled the BBMP as the saffron party had won in 116 wards, while Congress won only in 62 wards. JD-S had 14 councillors and and eight were independent.

In 2015 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Election Results winning in 100 wards. With 100 councillors, BJP also has 12 MLAs, 9 MLCs, 3 Lok Sabha and 2 Rajya Sabha members, taking its tally to 126

“BJP promised to clean Ganga but cleaned Banks instead” . Now they are releasing 'chargesheet' were majority of its councillors are elected from its own party.
    1. Instead of releasing 'Chargesheet', what was happened to those 'Jaddus' used for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' to click selfies?
    2. How much 'Garbage cess' collected by PM Modi government in last five years?
    3. Where was the money collected from cess on Garbage is used?

Finally, when BJP can organise mass movement of 'Kar Sevak' to demolish centuries old Mosque in Ayodhya, why those free volunteers can't be used to clean 'Holy Ganga' or Garbage dump of Banglore to keep the title of Garden city intact?

One thing is for sure the Congress will retain Karnataka, you may ask how you can be so sure. Look at Pheku he has no plans to tour and address people in Karnataka, one would wonder why, this man is so obsessed with elections and his image he is sure that Karnataka is not a cake walk. He has smelled defeat of BJP hence is not campaigning and sending B team, to save from tarnishing his image. Congrats Congress.

What a shame! When Karnataka Ministers CM Siddu, Khader, Madhwaraj etc have been honoured with awards by Third Parties and whereas, BJP has to achieve by self goal.

Look at the Violence in Bihar and other Northern India on the pretext of religion. Union Minister's Sons are involved in violence, who is said to hold Health & Family Ministry and his own sons are not taught humanity.

What Amit Shah wants to give Karnataka? The same kind of Leaders and same in human governance? Lets give befitting response through democracy and save the Nation.

BJP won votes discrediting congress as a party and its leaders. Start from PM Modi to its last worker, the only thing they speak is degrading the opponents, with low level language.

Fine, no issue. However, having come to power, everything what they accused congress of, have fallen flat. There is nothing more now to accuse them of. Modi led BJP, miserably failed to evidence anything from the last 4 years against congress. That itself shows the height of incompetency and inability.

Further, Modi led BJP has mis-managed the economy so badly and with his mis-governance, every system that was put in place earlier, as either collapsed or at the verge of collapse. People are paying a heavy price for their lack of judgement on Modi led BJP.

So, now they are back again to the Hindutva agenda and fake stories. Media initially for their own TRP, raised the platform of fake and planted stories, that favors BJP. Not sure, how long they will sustain in that effort. But, nevertheless people too are getting smart, they are now analyzing each story.

Why don't the BJP leaders publish this information also ?

N.M, Mangalore — nah, nah — they didn't convert Bangalore into a garbage city during their pathetic tenure — they destroyed Bangalore with their greed to amass ill-gotten wealth. What was a garden city was made a garbage city and a concrete jungle. They destroyed Mahatma Gandhi Road — the most beautiful road in the country by building the metro over the road rather than going underground which would have been far cheaper and cost-effective and besides they made a complete mess of Bangalore's traffic!
