Mangaluru: Workshop on ‘Laparoscopic Suturing and Stapling Techniques’ held at FMMC

Mangaluru, Mar 27: The department of General Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG), Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), in association with Ethicon, Johnson & Johnson Company, conducted a workshop on ‘Laparoscopic suturing and stapling techniques’ on March 25 at Conference Hall, Father Muller Medical College.

Dr. Leo Francis Tauro, professor and HOD, department of Surgery, welcomed the gathering. Dr (Capt) L Ramachandra, professor and HOD of Surgery, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, the resource person, was introduced to the gathering by Dr Shubha N Rao, professor, department of Surgery, Father Muller Medical College. The workshop was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by the dignitaries on the dais.



Prof L Ramachandra, in his inaugural address, he emphasized on the need of mastering the laparoscopic skills which is need of the hour. Dr Nagarathna, professor and HOD, department of OBG rendered the vote of thanks. All faculty and the postgraduates from the department of Surgery and OBG participated in the hands on training workshop.
