Kundapur, Mar 23: A lady travelling by car to Shankarnarayana in the taluk from Bengaluru breathed her last during the journey.

Nivedita (23), daughter of Annappa Shetty, resident of Krodhabailoor Mashyadi in Shankaranarayana village breathed her last during this journey.

Nivedita, after completing engineering degree, had settled down in Bengaluru at the family's home there. Recently, her family members, during astrological query, learnt that stars were not in her favour. To perform corrective religious programmes to address this problem, Nivedita had begun her journey along with family members on March 20 by her own car.

At around 7.30 am on Wednesday, the car was passing through Januvarukatte in Billadi, Udupi taluk, when the family members awakened Nivedita, who seemed to be in deep sleep. She just told them that she had consumed tablets. By then froth started oozing out of her mouth. The family members took her to a private hospital in Brahmavar.

The doctors who checked her said that Nivedita had already died. On the basis of a report filed by the father of Nivedita, Annappa Shetty, a case of unnatural death was registered at Kota police station.
