Bantwal: Youth loses life in motor bike accident

Bantwal, Mar 23: A motor bike's pillion rider died after he lost control of the vehicle at a road bend and the two-wheeler hit the warning sign erected by the roadside. This accident happened on Thursday March 22 at the Kashimath road bend near Vittal on Kalladka-Kanhangad inter-state highway.

The victim has been identified as Tilakraj (26). Rider of the vehicle, Dharmendra (25), is being treated at a private hospital at Mangaluru with serious injuries.

Recently, a former serviceman had passed away at this spot after a truck hit his motor bike. The said warning sign about the steep road bend had been installed at the spot two days back with the purpose of avoiding such accidents.

Police inspector of the town, Prakash and staff, visited the spot and registered a case.
