UP Congress Chief Raj Babbar resigns?

Lucknow, Mar 21: Uttar Pradesh Congress president Raj Babbar has reportedly resigned from his post.

His resignation comes in the wake of poor performance by the party in the recently held Lok Sabha polls for the two seats - Gorakhpur and Phulpur.

Election was held after Chief minister Yogi Adityanath resigned from his Gorakhpur seat and Phulpur seat represented by Keshav Prasad Maurya who resigned to take charge as the Deputy CM of Uttar Pradesh.

Reports say that several top leaders holding key posts in the Congress are likely to tender their resignations since Rahul Gandhi is all set to form a new team. Rahul Gandhi who was recently appointed as the President of the Congress has been authorised to nominate the Congress Working Committee(CWC).

    RB knows that he has no future in the sinking ship. Especially after many non -Cong oppositions have forming a new front to counter BJP in 2019 . The fronts are very vocal on keeping Cong at the safe distance. The experiment worked in UP and now the' new fronts' want to replicate it in other states and nation level. Moreover Pappu has been very open that he wants oldies to be replaced. So this was expected.

    Congress party is reorganizing in several states and cities to infuse fresh blood and new life into the organisation set up in those places where there has been under performance as part of their national revival process initiative taken up by Congress President RaGa. There could be many more resignations which is part of the reorganizing process.
