Bengaluru, Mar 15: Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty was discharged from Mallya Hospital on Wednesday March 14, as he showed remarkable improvement in his health.
The Lokayukta had been admitted into the hospital after he was attacked with a knife by a person having certain grouse against him. Speaking to media persons at the time of discharge, the Lokayukta said he was looked after well by everyone in the hospital and thanked them for this kind gesture.
Accused Tejaraj Sharma had entered the cabin of the Lokayukta on March 3 in the Lokayukta office in the city and stabbed him with a knife repeatedly. The nature of injuries could have been more serious but for the customary coat the Lokayukta was wearing at the time.
