Doha: Venkata Rao elected president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar

Doha, Mar 13: Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ), an associated organization of Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) under the aegis of Embassy of India, Qatar, recently elected its new committee. Venkata Rao, who served as senior vice-president in the previous term was chosen as president with the 10 new management committee members for the period of 2018- 2019.

A founder member of KSQ, Venkata Rao is a long time resident of Qatar, currently working as CEO in a reputed business group. M Ravi Shetty, an entrepreneur and a very renowned community leader has become the Vice-President of KSQ.

It may be noted that the elections were held as per the new Constitution drafted and finalized by the Embassy of India for all the Indian associations affiliated to ICC. KSQ became the first associated organization of ICC to adopt the new Constitution and the elections were held as per the new guidelines of the Constitution.

H K Madhu, the immediate past president also in the capacity of Advisory Panel Chairman, handed over the reins to the new President Venkata Rao to assume the office along with his team. Venkata Rao allocated the portfolios for his new team.

Milan Arun, ICC President congratulated and conveyed her wishes to the new KSQ team.
