Bengaluru, Mar 3: In a bid to build a 'stronger Karnataka', Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday released the Nava Karnataka - Vision Document 2025 - aiming at doubling of farmers’ income and creation of 75 lac additional jobs during the next seven years (2018-2025).

The Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed to double the farmers' income by 2022.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah released the document that focused on a unique Karnataka Model of Development based on inclusion, innovation and enterprise. It provided a governance strategy for building equitable growth across all regions of the state.

This document is a roadmap that has been prepared after extensive consultations with citizens, the CM said which will result in a definitive improvement in all these sectors and boost the state’s standing, the Chief Minister said.

The Vision-2025 scope is broad-based and specific and benefits all sections of people in Karnataka and sustainable, inclusive growth, the Chief Minister said.

Key Sectors of Vision Document

The key sectors that the document highlighted are: agriculture, energy, governance, rural development, IT/BT, infrastructure, industrial development, tourism, employment and skill, urban development, transportation, health, nutrition, education, law and justice, and social justice and empowerment.

The Vision 2025 Document aims to provide a way forward for Karnataka in the short and medium terms and is intended to serve as a bridge between different sectors and diverse interests.

Siddaramaiah expressed confidence that this government would come back to power and the Congress party would implement these and make it a reality.

The Chief Minister dismissed talk of the impact of poll results of other states on Karnataka.

Invoking Basavanna, Dr Ambedkar and Gandhiji on equality, the Chief Minister said the next seven years the government would abide by these principles.

"Without a vision, no state will develop. This is something that we are keen on and in future, we will also add more opinions from common citizens as we go along," he said.

The document has identified 13 economic and social development goals making it absolutely inclusive, he added.

In the last five years, the Chief Minister said his government had already laid a strong foundation and had also successfully implemented all the promises made in the manifesto.

"Change is possible only when everyone gets education, health, employment, equal opportunites. In this regard, the government has made honest efforts. A universal health scheme, anna bhagya, ksheera bhagya, shoe bhagya, laptop bhagya and other such schemes have contributed to make Karnataka a hunger-free state. We have taken strong steps to protect equality which has made all the difference in governance," Siddaramaiah said.
Responding to political barbs from the opposition, he said those who converted Bengaluru into a garbage city are now taking up its cause.

"We have spent thousands of crores for Bengaluru city’s development which includes flyovers, metros, suburban rail and other infrastructure projects. The government has also extended basic facilities such as roads, UGD, drinking water and other basic amenities for the 110 villages that were added to the BBMP. No government has done so much," he said.

8.5% GSDP Growth, 75 lac Additional Jobs

The plan envisages 8.5% GSDP growth, 75 lac additional jobs, all weathered road network across the state, affordable housing for all, and balanced regional development.

In the farm sector, the Document set a target of 5% GSDP growth, 70% irrigated area, 50% area under micro irrigation, and doubling of farmers’ income.

In the energy sector, it aimed at providing cent per cent household electrification, and 50% share of renewable energy in installed capacity.

In the education sector, it planned 100% enrolment in schools, and 50% enrolment in higher education.

Under the project, the government would seek public opinion on how they want their dream state to be in the next seven years, Siddaramaiah said.

The Vision 2025 Document aims at evolving a draft policy for development of the state in next seven years by seeking the opinion of the public.

Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha and Executive officer of the project, Renuka Chidambaram, were present at the function.

This is just a gimmick, I have been political movements for the past 20 years, and if i read the 60 years of congress rule. Where did congress do all this while. And that too todays congress in Karnataka is just a jokers party. Congress announces schemes and plans only during the end of the term. What congress in the past 5 years releasing crores of rupees to all depts and that amount has gone to contract companies . No actual work is done. For showcasing those companies would have low standard third class work or would not have started the work. All the irrigation works which has been done as low standard it wont last for 2 to 3 years. Its such a waste of money. Congress has announced the blue print just TRYING to compare with BJP at centre just a showoff. BJP comes with completion report and Congress with planning report thats the difference.

Corrupted, greedy and the selfish own this country. Rich keep getting richer and poor keep getting poorer. There is no honour, dignity, morality or integrity left in our country. In 1800's British started improving medical facilities, sanitation, doctors, etc and population exploded to 200 million by 1900. In 1947 India's population was 347 million. There was enough clean water, resources, land, etc for every one. But after independence not even one Indian leader managed to implement family planning policy of two kids per family. If our Indian government had implemented 2 child policy our population would have been under control and we would have been able to develop our country much better. Due to population explosion, Indians have resorted to survival by hook or by crook. Baby boomer parents and baby boomers never laid a proper foundation for the country since independence. Even the non enlightened bramins and kshatriyas failed miserably to guide the country since independence. India should have become a developed country by now by now. Caste system and over population has ruined India completely. We Indians continuously breed like rabbits because our Indian families only want boys and they keep on breeding till a boy is born which is really shameful. How much have we Indians achieved in the last 70 years? Maybe 5% out of 100%. Only 4% population of Indians pay taxes in India which is really shameful. China has achieved far more than India has. All professions have almost equal status in developed countries but here it is dishonour to work in trade jobs. Manusmiriti, Vedic science, Vedic mathematics, Arthashastra, etc is what should be taught in schools as we Indians such as Baudhyana and Bhaskaracharya discovered Law of gravity, Triangle theorem much before europeans but we only learn about newton and pythagorean in Indian school text books which is a shame.

Interesting point. Why cant my son earn a good wage in a blue collar jobs such as Mechanic, Electrician, Welder, etc in our country? Why is it that in developed countries blue collar professions such as Mechanics, Electricians, Welders, etc earn good wages which are almost equivalent to white collar jobs? Why have we Indians not raised the standards for blue collar professions such as Mechanic, Electrician, Welder, etc here in India?

Siddu is genuine... not Nautanki like FEKU !

Lies and Fekugiri is running in Bajpard's blood. Shakhaas train them, how to brainwash people with such faku tactics !
90% tweets and FB, WhatsApp posts that BJP circulates are FAKE!!!

They are using picture of Nepal, Meghalaya, Gujarat, UP to defame Siddu Govt as they could not find such bad pictures in our state!!!

    Few example of fekuism...

Once minister Piyush Goyal, who a well educated person, tweeted picture of Russia with caption "illuminating 50,000 km of Indian roads with LED lights"!

A BJP leader Nupur Sharma once tweeted picture of "Gujarat riots" in which Gujarat was burning and international media too reported the incident with world wide coverage, she captioned the picture as "Bengal is burning"! Huhhh... she could not find better picture than Gujarat riots, thus...

Other BJP leader posted a picture of rape scene in the Bengali movie with caption "Women are not safe in Bengal"!

Bajpard Babul Supriyo tweeted London airport picture with caption "Rajkot bustop"!

Thousands of examples can be given on their FEKUgiri !!!

Goal and Vision is ok and very important. but why 7 years???? Make a vision for five years and achieve it....then based on that people will decide. Our baashan king had so many promises and visions. However the term going to end only with baashans and foreign tours only. Now he is promising of 2022 vision....let people decide.

modi has failed to fulfill even 10 percent of his election manifesto:

Where are 100 smart cities in 5 years?
What is the status of providing 2 crore jobs per year for our youth?
Why have Fuel and Food prices skyrocketed?
Why has 'Make in India' collapsed?
    Why has 'Skill India' failed?
Why did BJP allow Mallya, Nirav and Lalit Modi to escape?
Why are Farmers still committing suicide due to debts and no support?
Why has ill-planned GST ruined small and medium-sized traders?
    Why was Demonetization a DISASTER?
Why has the Foreign Policy with China, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Pak failed?
Why hasn't black money (Rs.15 lakhs per person) been brought back to India?
Why have right-wing hooligans taken over law & order?

Sir ..its good to have a vision ,statement ..but the key question is how are you going to achieve the intended goals ..what are the risks ..how are you going to mitigate and overcome them?
Hope this does not turn out into another election gimmick.
Sir ..we want sustainable growth ..without harming mother nature ...Please stop the nethravathi diversion project in the interest of the state ..the western ghats are the breathing lungs of the southern states.
