The Prince - Comedian Jacob

The name of Prince Jacob stands foremost among Konkani stage comedians for having infused new dimension to comedy and imparting Tiatr comedians a place of respect and dignity.

One of the undisputed superstars of Konkani stage, Prince Jacob now has legions of fans in the Konkan world and lives up to his status as a celebrity actor, singer, playwright, director, radio jockey and above all - a great comedian.

Jacob’s handsome presence and superb comedy has won him accolades galore in the Konkan world.

The comedian who was bestowed the title ‘Prince of Comedy’ in 1982, has been known as ‘Prince Jacob’ ever since.

The Emperor - John D'Silva

John’s comedy is half intelligence, half execution. It is not necessary for him to make faces to look comical, nor does he need catchy dialogues to tickle that funny bone. His silence is sufficient to extract peals of laughter from the audience.

In a short span of years John D’Silva has achieved a tremendous landmark and fan-following in the Tiatr circle as well as on the silver screen.

John has always been in the limelight as a Tiatrist ever since he made his foray on Konkani stage, but he made the whole country sit up and take notice of him when he made it into Limca Book of Records in 2010 for the unique feat of writing, directing and producing over 25 Konkani Tiatrs with titles having a ‘double alphabet’ in it. He is incidentally the first tiatrist to enter into the Limca Book of Records.

John ensures his latest tiatr ‘Porzoll’ which releases at Easter too has a double alphabet.
