Two held for making derogatory remarks against Hindu gods, PM Modi


Ballia, Feb 25 (PTI): Two people were arrested for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Hindu gods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a video posted on a social networking site, police said today.

Acting swiftly on a complaint filed by Dharam Dev Singh, a case was registered against the four accused persons under section 295 A of the IPC (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and IT Act.

"Four people (Saahil, Indal Kumar, Anil and Sunny Kumar) of Lavai Patti Satahva village had made derogatory remarks against Hindu gods, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in a video, which was uploaded on Facebook and shared on WhatsApp," Superintendent of police Anil Kumar said.

"Two of the four accused were arrested yesterday. They have been identified as Anil and Sunny Kumar," he said. The video was uploaded on Facebook almost five days ago, the SP said.

    It is wrong to criticize against any religion. All religions are important to those who have faith in their principles and ideology.

    Here the names of the offenders sound like that they are passing deragatory remarks against their own religion and therefore, no much controversies and fight.
    Good police nabbed them.

    A well known personality who use to do derogatory remarks on Hindu God and Godesses are already left country one year ago...as pergovt. instructions. A huge followers are enjoying his speech all the time as listening to mushaira.
    One more personality who use to draw nude painting of god and godesses taken shelter in another land and died over there.
    When given so much freedom in india why insulting faith of others..???

    I would have believed if derogatory remarks made against Devils, Modi and Yogi but this sounds very untrue and far fetched cooked within for disaster recovery.
