Dubai, Feb 25: A musical treat awaits people in Dubai as Band Charitra gets set to perform its first-ever live concert in Dubai on April 13. The musical extravaganza will be held at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, The Indian High School, Oud Metha from 5:30 pm onwards.
Band Charitra - a desi rock band is buzzing the global stage with huge fan following across the region. The band has over 200 concerts, two albums 'Dosti' and 'Chintnam' to its credit already.
Charitra, the new generation desi rock band from India is young, energetic and full of passion for creativity. Each production by Band Charitra is a masterpiece. Waves of success achieved in the last few years are a clear manifestation of their hard work, dedication and taste of music which has been appreciated by the masses.
The band has passionate and most promising musicians, who believe in creating music which resonates in the hearts of people. It is a team of dedicated musicians and excellent performers.
Loy Valentine Saldanha (music producer / keyboardist / vocalist): A certified engineer in music production and sound design from A R Rahman’s Institute Audio Media, Chennai.
Melwyn Antony D'Souza (song writer / lead vocalist): Has pursued his degree in Carnatic music, art and culture.
Patson Pereira (music producer / lead guitarist): A qualified sound engineer in music production and audio technologies from SAE Institute of Audio Engineering, Malaysia.
Ian Sachin Saldanha (drummer / percussions / vocalist): Hailed as a child prodigy, Sachin started performing in live concerts at the age of 14.
Rikith Soans (bass guitarist / vocalist): Earned the certificate of western music (grade 5) from Trinity College of London (TLC) in 2012.
Akshada Talaulikar (playback singer / Global Konkani Best Female Singer): Winner of the prestigious Global Konkani music award from Kalangan Mangaluru in the year 2009 for the best female singer. A prominent music teacher in 'Swarmanch', Margao Goa.
Rayan D’Souza (vocalist / performer / disc jockey): Trained by his dad Jerome D'Souza, a legend in Konkani music, he went on to sing a line of hits like Birthday Munn Muzo 'Sairikecho Mallo' Kuddo Zalmailoi Maka 'Aanath'.
Lavita Lobo (playback singer / Global Konkani Best Female Singer): Winner of Soad-2 Konkani singing reality show, she was also awarded The Best Singer Female 2011 at the Global Konkani Music Award. She made Mangalureans proud by singing for a Hollywood movie – 'Lake of Fire', with music by the legendary A R Rahman. Lavita Lobo has already performed for musical concerts internationally and is currently pursuing her diploma in music at KM Music Conservatory (A R Rahman)
Roshan D’Silva, a renowned and popular compere in the GCC will host the show.
