K C Shetty was unanimously elected president, Suresh B Shetty vice president, K Jaya Sooda honorary chief secretary, Durga Prasad B Rai treasurer, Prabhaker K Shetty joint secretary and Prasad B Shetty joint treasurer. CA Shanker B Shetty, Balakrishna Shetty of Unitop, Karunaker M Shetty of V K group, Panduranga S Shetty of Sony Steel, Hithesh Shetty and Nishith Shetty were elected directors.
Bunts Chamber of Commerce and Industry was formed in 1990 by the farsightedness of B D Shetty in the gathering of Bunts business leaders.
