Mumbai, Feb 23: Proprietor of Hotel Vihar situated at Kalina, Santacruz east, philanthropist, social worker Vasu P Shetty  passed away at his residence on Feb 22 after a massive cardiac arrest.

He was 65. Vasu hailed from Perinje Tirumalabettu, Belthangady, Dakshina Kannada district.

He was a permanent member of the committee of trustees of Shani Mahatma Seva samithi, Jawaharnagar, Khar east and indulged in several service oriented organizations.
