Mangaluru: Congress trying to stir communal violence in dist - MP Nalin on Bengre incident

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Feb 22: MP and BJP leader Nalin Kumar Kateel on Thursday February 22 held Congress responsible for the group clash that took place in Kasba Bengre wherein youths returning from BJP national president Amit Shah's Udupi programme were allegedly attacked.

Addressing a press meet here on Thursday February 22, Nalin Kateel alleged, "After the successful visit of BJP national president Amit Shah to the coastal region, a frustrated Congress is trying to start communal disturbances in the district. The incident at Kasba Bengre is an example of this.

"Before Amit Shah's visit, the Congress had widely spread a message that if he came here, communal violence may erupt. But nothing happened and Amit Shah's three-days visit made a positive impact on the people of the district. Now there are suspicions that Congress is plotting these types of incidents to blame Amit Shah and project it as a result of his visit to the district."

Referring to the statements on the incident by MLA J R Lobo, the MP said, "By blaming the BJP members who went to Amit Shah's programme, the local MLA is trying to protect the culprits. He is arguing that the slogan raised by BJP members led to the violence. I want to tell him - this is not Pakistan. Here we can say 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' anywhere. Without knowing anything about the incident, the MLA in a press meet made allegations against the BJP. Being a loyal representative, he should try to maintain peace in the region where violence has erupted. But he is pouring oil on fire.

"I too visited Bengre and spoke to leaders of both the communities. They want peace and are not interested in fighting with each other. They unitedly alleged that a big ganja mafia exists in Kasba Bengre. There are many illegal residents too. Because of these anti-social elements, peace and harmony is threatened in the area. The residents also requested to nab these anti-social elements without delay. But the MLA is mum on these issues. He never talks against ganja mafia and illegal residents," he alleged.

He further alleged, "There was pressure put on the hospital staff where the injured BJP members were admitted. Despite major injuries, the hospital staff did not treat them seriously. They considered them as ordinary patients. All these happenings have proved that Congress and its ministers are behind the communal violences, and before the election they are trying to divide the society on religious lines."

District BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor, district general secretory Capt Brijesh Chowta, former MLC Monappa Bhandary and others were present.

Although Mangalore is best known for Education Hub but Mangalore is ruled by one joker and he is none other than MP Nalin, who knows nothing but is always involved in communal fights, giving hate speeches , threatening police officers, threatening to burn mangalore and posing with all the murderers in his party,.. Not to forget he was the one who said that Dollar price will come to 20 rupees when modi is in power.. So people should think 10 times before voting such jokers in power.. Jokers are good at circus or comedy events not in power..

Few days back Amit Shah came to be part of so called "Meenugarara Samavesha" and made some promises (Fake promises for upcoming elections). Did ever in his/her life as MP's did Nalin Kateel and Shoba Akka raise fisherman issues in Parliament?

I have never heard these two MP's (unfortunately) from coastal Karnataka speak about this issue. Today they speak of fisherman issues, communal disturbance, etc. Its the same person who wanted ti burn the district and also wanted to beat a police officer.

It simply means that anyone from BJP, RSS, BD, VHP are come directly from heaven and all are
V V VIP's and they shouldn't be treated like ordinary citizens. They need top priority even at the cost of ignoring other patients in that hospital.

Its only when BJP, RSS, BD, VHP people are involved they protest, want to burn district, call for bandh etc. All other citizens are to be ignored and they don't care about them. This is their policy across India.

MP NALINI MUST produce some proof, evidence or even circumstantial evidence - A MP - holding
such an important position in the Central government just should not indulge in such CHEAP TACTICS! - It may backfire!

Rather than presenting hi plan to improve our living conditions MP Nalini REPEATEDLY DWELLS

It has become a pattern. When in campaign mode, the Bharatiya Janata Party can be relied on to fight rival parties with fake news and a dash of communalism.
The BJP had deployed the same tactics in Gujarat last year. First, in the Rajya Sabha elections, which boiled down to a personal battle between Shah, the famed election strategist still stained by the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case, and Ahmed Patel, an old Congress hand. The BJP sought to link Patel to a case made out by the Gujarat police against two suspected Islamic State operatives. One of them was employed at a hospital with which Patel was associated. It accused the Congress of “harbouring terrorists”, a distinctly communalised charge which seemed to twin minorities with criminality, so-called appeasement with active abetting of terror. It was all the more dangerous because it had little basis in fact. The Rajya Sabha contest paved the way for such a viciously fought assembly election that even the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the ideological parent of the BJP, chastised the party for “abrogation of decency”.
In Karnataka so far, there are signs that the familiar rhetoric of Hindutva will be deployed once again, especially in coastal areas.Going ahead, will Karnataka be a repeat of Gujarat? The Gujarat campaign may continue to poison politics for years to come. There is still time for the BJP to change the conversation in Karnataka and fight a cleaner campaign.
No one need to ask Mr.Nalin what is his contribution to Mangalore in last 9 years of his ruling. The Mangalore must have achived 'Smart city' before rest of India because party is in power since 1992 for 25 years.
Is Smart people of the 'smart city' will be finally awakened and choose a wise people's representative or will they opt for continuation pub attacks, church attacks, Love Jihad attacks to be known to the world?
