Indian national killed in Nepal bus mishap


Kathmandu, Feb 22 (IANS): An Indian national was killed when a bus hit his motorcycle in Nepal's Kapilvastu district.

The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Gauri Shankar Chaurasia, a resident of Siddharthanagar district of Uttar Pradesh, the Kathmandu Post reported.

The incident took place on Wednesday when the bus en route to Taulihawa collided head-on with the motorcycle at Dohani, killing Chaurasia on the spot, the police said.

Chaurasia's body was taken to a hospital for postmortem.

The bus was impounded and its driver was detained for investigation.
