India, Pakistan trade heavy fire on LoC


Srinagar, Feb 22 (IANS): The Indian and Pakistani armies traded heavy fire on the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector on Thursday, the Defence Ministry said.

"Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions at 8 a.m. After which our positions retaliated effectively," Defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said.
