Mangaluru, Feb 19: The police on Monday February 19 arrested three more accused in connection to the murder of Shivaraj last month.
The arrested are Vikram alias Vikram Amin alias Vicky (25), Ajay (20) an Suman alias Suman Kotian alias Boggu Suman (19). While Vicky and Ajay are residents of Bengre, Suman is from Bejai.
Acting on credible information, the Panambur police and the Mangaluru north anti-rowdy squad arrested them near KSRTC bus stand.
With this, the total number of arrests in the case has gone up to 10.
Shivaraj was murdered early morning on January 22 when he was sleeping on the terrace of his brother's house in Tannirbavi. Unidentifid assailants had to come to the house and hacked him to death.
It is learnt that Vicky, Suman and Ajay had instigated the main accused in the case to commit the crime. They had gone absconding soon after the murder.
The arrest operation was conducted under the directions of police commissioner T R Suresh, and under the guidance of DCPs Hanumantharaya and Uma Prashant.
