Kundapur: Man follows wife in death with five months gap

Kundapur, Feb 19: In an incident which happened on the night of Saturday February 17 at Albady in the taluk, a man committed suicide in the same room in which his wife had committed suicide by hanging himself.

The person who killed  himself was Prabhakar Acharya (35), son of Narasimha Acharya, resident of Tonnase in Albady village. It is said that Acharya was frustrated out of threats and  mental agony inflicted on him by his father, uncle, and another person. In this connection, the police have arrested one person.

The arrested person happens to be Narasimha Acharya, father of the victim. He has been charged with abetment to suicide, posing threats, and inflicting mental torture. The complaint filed in the case also mentions names of uncle, Shankar Acharya, and a person named Choori Shankar as responsible for this suicide.

Prabhakar Acharya had married Pavitra from Karkala Kuchchoor four years back. The couple is survived by two children.
