Now, Rotomac's Vikram Kothari flees with loans of more than Rs 800 crore: Report

Daijiworld Media Network

Kanpur, Feb 18: After Nirav Modi, Vikram Kothari of Rotomac Pens has come under the scanner for fleeing with loans of more than Rs 800 crore from various government banks in the country, a media report has stated.

According to a report by News18, Kothari has taken loans of more than Rs 800 crores from five banks such as Allahabad Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Indian Overseas Bank and Union Bank of India, by compromising bank rules.

Kothari took a loan of Rs 485 crore from Union Bank of India and a loan of Rs 352 crore from Allahabad Bank. However, he has failed to pay back the interest or the loaned amount for the past one year, the report said.

After jewellers Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi involvement in fraudulent transactions worth Rs 11,360 crore through Punjab National Bank hit limelight, Kothari’ office in Kanpur’s City Center road has been locked and he remain untraceable.

Meanwhile, Allahabad Bank manager Rajesh Gupta told News18 he hoped the amount would be recovered by selling Kothari’s properties

Before independence India looted by Europeans, now Indians loot and take it to Europe. Wa re va, India is shining. India will never develop as long as we do not vote the good ones. We look Modi and we vote in Mangalore for a scoundrel in BJP, we look for Rahul and vote another scoundrel in Mangalore. Same goes around the country. Wake up India. We need to change and elect the good ones and who does good work around you and not in Delhi or UP or Gujrat or Goa and so on. Look around who is doing good job, is it MLA or MP around you. Do not look for party.
Everyone invests money to get money back and no one is doing charity specially in politics. Open your eyes and do not blame Modi, BJP or Manmohan Singh or Congress, we need to blame ourselves sending idiots to Bangalore and Delhi.

    Anthony Lobo,

Europeans did not loot india. Britishers did not exactly loot india. they were the rulers in india and they had every right to transfer their funds to their home country.

Without british unifying the whole india there would not be india as we know it today.

As this multi Billion Dollars commercial Loan default is surfaced and International oil price increase and the rich and powerful of my Hindu community members particularly Gujrathi & Marvadi move out of the country to USA & England with National resources the inflation will sky rocket, Indian currency will become worthless and poor & working class will have real hell before having Moksha. The people who work in middle east & shipping Industry should take notice and move the hard earned money legally to safe havens in foreign countries.

Banks reported 'Loan Fraud' cases exceeding Rs 60,000 cr in last five years. State-run banks have reported 8,670 "loan fraud" cases totalling Rs. 612.6 billion ($9.58 billion) over the last five financial years up to March 31, 2017, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data showed according to the information obtained through a RTI request.

"The figures expose the magnitude of the problem in a banking sector already under pressure after years of poor lending practices. Bad loans surged to a record peak of nearly $149 billion last year", Reuters reported.
Public sector banks had a collective write off of Rs 816.83 billion for the financial year 2016-17.
In 2013-14, the state-owned banks wrote off bad loans worth Rs 344.09 billion; Rs 490.18 billion in 2014-15; Rs 575.85 billion in 2015-16 and hitting Rs 816.83 billion in the fiscal ended March 2017.
In the current financial year, PSBs have written off loans worth Rs 536.25 billion in the six months to September.
PM Modi's government has unveiled a Rs 2.11 trillion capital infusion plan for the PSBs, including via bonds, in the next two years.
“The entire system was bypassed. All regulatory mechanisms broke down. Everything escaped the eyes of auditors and investigators. ‘Risk management’ and ‘fraud detection ability’ came to naught.
The former IPL chairman, Lalit Modi, and the liquor baron, Vijay Mallya, how arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari , who was found to be in possession of sensitive military procurement documents, managed to escape from India despite the fact that his passport had been impounded by the income tax department, Mehul Choksi of Gitanjali Jewellery group, Nirav Modi and now Rotomac's Vikram Kothari and the names keep adding.
‘Loot and escape’ is Modi government’s new identity. Has it become the norm for letting people run away with public money? PM Modi had two hours to spend on 'Pasricha pe charcha' with school children, don't even bother to address the financial fraud of the decade for 2minutes?

But due to peoples opposition in media it was differed by the government, This shows that the Government was aware of the problems long back.

Now I hope they will not reconsider it once again or else they may tax us in different ways to cover the lost money

    Why not private banks ?
Why can't Govt close all the PSBs, if it cannot keep control on them ?
Why NPAs are keep increasing in PSBs ?
    Because
PSBs are managed in such a way that billionaires can systematically loot the country without any hassels
Let all the citizen of India stop paying tax, Let the govt. recover looted money / NPAs.

As a common citizen of India we have born to repay the debts of banks siphoned off by the billionaires. As of now SBI is looting tax payers by imposing various bank charges to recover the funds swindled by Vijay Malya. Soon we will have to pay back the money to PNB looted by NIMO, Vikram Khotari & so on. Unfortunately in India all the investigation agencies will wake up even the FIRs will be filed immediately after the criminals flee the country with their families and settled in safe havens. As usual once the matter is come to the light, one irresponsible Govt. official/minister will come in front of media & bark a common dialogue “NO ONE WILL BE SPARED’ who involved in this conspiracy.
