The gram panchayat has now filed a police complaint in Kadaba police station against the film unit, accusing it of undertaking shooting of the film without obtaining prior permission of the gram panchayat. The panchayat has also charged the film crew of inflicting damage to environment.

"We had earlier served notice to this affect on production manager of Chennai-based Gokulam Movies, Tony Tom. But so far he has not made arrangements to obtain our permission. Moreover, the team is also indulging in environmental pollution by disposing of plastic bottles and other solid waste by the road side in Parankaje area in Balya and  the main road," the panchayat said.
