Bengaluru: Will not say no if I get a chance to be chief minister - Ambareesh

Bengaluru, Feb 18 (DHNS): Actor-turned-politician M H Ambareesh has been nursing a chief ministerial dream for the last 15 years. But, he is no dreamcatcher.

"I have been a chief minister candidate for 15 years and I will not say no if the opportunity comes my way. But it's good not to have hopes, because you get hurt when they get dashed," Ambareesh told reporters in Bengaluru on Saturday. The former minister said there was no question of him contesting from any other constituency than his home turf Mandya. "The people of Mandya helped me win by 42,000 votes. Can I run away? If I do, I'll be called a coward," he said.

Ambareesh welcomed the Supreme Court verdict on the sharing of the Cauvery river waters. "It is after many years there's a verdict that is in our favour," he said.

"The verdict has given Karnataka some breathing space and farmers in our region are happy to some extent."

The former Union minister said he and his actor-wife Sumalatha would offer 'bagina' to the Cauvery at the KRS dam on Monday.

On Superstar Rajinikanth calling the verdict "very disappointing," Ambareesh said: "I'm friends with everybody. Linking of rivers is a good thing and (Rajinikanth) also said the same thing."

Your comparison of job or ones profession is not in good taste....prejudice is not good as long as one does any reasonable respectable job.Only thing is that it should be hurting or paining others.Acconiingly selling tea is not a bad profession. You may be knowing that lot of people made illicit liquor which has spooled do many families. Now situation is much changed.
You may have hatred towards PM Modi or BJP which is ok....but don't blame anybody's profession ....

Can you tell me in reality what profession PM Modi had. He was never qualified beyond 10th grade said by himself in several interviews but later his two chamchas Amit Shah and Jaitley produced a fake degree, he lied about his marriage and his lying about his performance and governance. Grow up man. This country has gone to the dogs under his governance.

Can you tell me or show me proof he has sold tea. Now he is telling Indians to sell Pakodas because he promised 2 crores job but can do nothing but only give rubbish speeches. Situation has not changed. Corruption has increased multifold, bank interest has come down, business has fallen down, which world are you living. All development is happening in the name of cow and beef and dalit/lower caste are being attacked. Stop replying which is nothing but crap.

In politics our system does not see the educational qualification. Its all about ones capacity to win people's hearts.....Modi may be uneducated according to you but he was managing Gujarati for three successive terms as CM..

I liked his way of talk in real life too like the way he used to talk in the film the dialogues like he is not scared of any one.In his film he used in a certain fashion utter a dialogue and toss a cigarette in his mouth which impressed every one .Ambareesh played the role of a angry young man and several films were tailor made accordingly.Thats why he earned the name REBEL STAR AMBAREESH.

Should Congress choose to give him a ticket, then its going to be disaster.

This guy does not know anything other than drinking and womanizing. Not even fit to be a politician. He is better off in fooling public in acting/Cinema.
