Udupi, Feb 16: Udupi district level official body building competition was held at Brahmavar government PU college on February 10. The event was sponsored by Body Zone Gym and Fitness Centre, as well as Diamond Gym, Brahmavar. In this contest, Swaroop Bangera, a member of Vajra Health and Fitness Gym, Katapadi, bagged 'Mr Udupi 2018'
title. Glen Dias of E-Fitness Club here became the runner up. At the same time, Sri Veeramaruti Gym Brahmavar bagged the team championship.
BJP district vice-president, Baikady Suprasad Shetty, distributed the awards. Fisheries, youth services and sports, and district in-charge minister, Pramod Madhwaraj, distributed prizes and extended good wishes to the winners. The inaugural function was presided over by K Uday Kumar Shetty, BJP state executive member and in-charge of Mangalore assembly constituency.
