Kundapur: Fisherman meets watery grave in Gangolli

Kundapur, Feb 16: A fisherman fell into river and drowned while fishing at Panchagavali river bank near Gangolli fort office on Thursday, February 15.

Gangolli Mallyarabettu resident Sathish Kharvi (32) is the deceased. He had gone fishing with his younger brother Santhosh Kharvi in a boat owned by Naga Kharvi. Sathish Kharvi reportedly slipped and fell into the river. He was rescued and rushed to Kundapur government hospital for treatment. But he died while being examined by the doctor. A case stands registered at Gangolli police station.

The wedding of Sathish Kharvi was scheduled in April this year. He had distributed wedding invitations to his friends. While he had dreams of getting married to lead a joyful life with members of his family, fate has taken away his life. He was staying with his mother, younger brother and younger sister who are drowned in grief.
