Can Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya leave India without BJP connivance: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 15 (Zee News): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has questioned the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government amid reports of billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi, who is under Enforcement Directorate scanner over Rs 280 crore fraud at Punjab National Bank.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader said, “Is it possible to believe that he (Nirav Modi) or Vijay Mallya left the country without active connivance of BJP govt?”

This came even as the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday conducted raids at Modi’s residence and offices in Mumbai.

Official sources said the agency sleuths swooped down on at least ten premises of entities involved in the case early morning. The premises raided by the ED in Mumbai include Modi's residence in Kurla, his jewellery boutique in Kala Ghoda area, three company locations in Bandra and Lower Parel, three premises in Surat in Gujarat and Modi's showrooms in Chanakyapuri and Defence Colony in Delhi.

Modi, 46, has been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for cheating after PNB sent a complaint to it alleging that the jewellery firm owner, his brother Nishal, wife Ami, and one Mehul Choksi entered into a criminal conspiracy with the officials of the bank and cheated it, causing a "wrongful loss".

The billionaire diamantaire, whose jewellery creations are popular among global celebrities, has two boutiques in Delhi and Mumbai. He has several boutiques worldwide including Hawaii, Las Vegas, New York, London, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Beijing, Macau and Hongkong.

State-owned PNB on Wednesday said it had detected a USD 1.77 billion (about Rs 11,400 crore) scam. PNB has suspended ten officers and referred the matter to CBI for investigation.

Check the time line : PNB had approached CBI in Jan and CBI issued lookout notice in Feb, only after all the accused in PNB scam fled the country. Also 42 FIRs were submitted at PMO and what did PMO do? Had him posing for a groupie with PM at Davos!
In Mallya's case there was a detention notice issued by CBI to emigration which was revoked by New Delhi Oct 2016 as if to facilitate his safe exit.
Btw, say hi to Varun Khan

    Sunil Padival,

Please read below the BJP's nature like a cat that drinks milk with eyes shut and makes a hangama when someone points out that the milk disappeared :

    Quote
"Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, was made aware of this entire fraud by one Shri Hari Prasad by way of a written complaint filed on 26th July, 2016 and acknowledged by PMO," said party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala, adding that "no action was taken" and the "bank lost the money and the accused escaped."
He also alleged that PM Modi was aware of 42 FIRs pending against the absconding.
    Unquote

You better keep your horizons broader and read news on other forums too. Please ponder over the fact that no alert was issued to departure points against this man. Why ?

wah re wah pandu..How can Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya receive loan at first stage and without full proof scrutiny of mortgage value / asset. both of them got approval in UPA regime and "how" its understood by common man ..

Mallya was rajya sabha member with congress support and with UK citizenship he cannot be withheld without proper legal system which was part of set rules provided to him by so called politicians... so whom to be questioned... when a common man for getting loan for a flat has to undergo so much documentation and guarantee and with political support and pressure all the fraudster swindle poor man tax money..

before putting wrong info check the facts.

He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2002 as an independent member from his home state of Karnataka with the support of the Congress party and Janata Dal (Secular).

In 2010, he was re-elected for a second term, this time with the backing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JD(S).. (BJP rulling Karnataka and they had sufficient majority to choose 2 RS members.)

Now both run away under BJP rule only.

I saw his name as Nirav Modi, his photo with our PM Modi team but I did not see his name as Nirav Singh and not with Manmohan Singh ..... When another Lalit Modi was involved with fraud....Same BJP leaders helped him i.e. Susma Swaraj , Vasundhara Raje Scindia. Finally they told it is their personal relationship and BJP is not involved...... Now BJP is in power whey you are blaming Old government, its not enough time time to rectify their faul and correct it?????? I worked in Bank of more than 30 years. there are internal audits, external audit and without cover up or backing of any big person such a big liability of the customer can be kept in secret. Like you people will only play political blame game.
