Kalaburagi: 'Are Dalits sinners?' Mallikarjun Kharge asks BJP leaders

Kalaburagi, Feb 14 (DHNS): "BJP leaders are constantly publicising that they ate, slept, stayed at Dalits' houses. Does that mean Dalits are sinners?" asked MP Mallikarjun Kharge hotly.

He was in Kalaburagi to participate in various functions including the launch of the wifi hotspot for the city on Wednesday.

"Though I was born in a slum, I have risen to this position. BJP leaders speak as though eating in a Dalit's house is an achievement. Do Dalits feed them poison? They eat what all others eat and serve the same to BJP people. Dalit blood is red too,” Kharge burst out angrily.

It is the BJP and RSS which considers Dalits as untouchables. It is because of casteism and those who support it, dalits still suffer, Kharge said.

Rahul didn't eat chicken

Kharge said that state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa’s remark that AICC president Rahul Gandhi ate chicken at Koppal is 'far from the truth'.

Kharge said that BJP leaders are 'experts at lying'. They have made this accusation just for the sake of making it.

He reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Shivaraja Thandagi have already clarified the issue.

    BJP has stopped everything else and has started monitoring who is eating what!

    Honorable Karghe's question to those in the BJP and Caste minded politicians need clear answers!

    Our birth, caste, sex, religion and wealth are determined by factors beyond our control! Why am I
    discriminated for my looks, caste to which I was born with no choice!, sex - that i didn't choose, parents
    the God given gift.
    Indians are adored abroad as the most intelligent people - smart, educated, understanding Gandhians.

    Yet here at home we discriminate people for their sex, origin (Caste) religion and skin color!
    Let us, the most educated/intelligent people decide!

    Agree your comment for some extent,but these congress leaders are not worthy to argue for dalits development,since these dalits developed from their own hard efforts with help of constitutional privileges, same time pretending as guardians of these dalits, Kahrge like leaders increased their wealth in crores.

    Dalits have come because of their hard work and not because of Congress. Congress has never helped them in any way. Congress looked at them and made them stay uneducated all these years. They are what they are because of their hard work. Now so many Bhagyas are give by state Govt. WHY? What was the need if the Congress has looked after the backward and down trodden people . Did they got up just now when the election are nearing. Because of Congress, India is about 50 years backward.

    Dalits are your latest vote bank .Hence the Cong president has been campaigning with a big Tilak on his forehead and proclaimed himself as a 'Janeu Dhari, Shivbakth, Hindu brahmin' and wooing Dalits , pretending to be a Dalit savior. This very individual was a Muslim in UP , wearing a skull cap and sporting a beard . As he lost , he discarded it. Now I hope its clear , who is the 'sinner'.

    Why we cry so much on this relegion , cast and all .Why dont we think that We are all Indians .We should keep our religion at limited place at our house and our own worshiping places .Even though we should not stop anyone wants to come and pray any holyplaces .like hindus can visit churches .or christian can visit temples etc.If we think we all are humans and Indians sure there will be no this type of issues and these political leaders will take advantage on this and devide the country

    Kharge sirji..why dalits are still backward..ask a person who standing besides you..??
    Sometimes yuvraaj itself goes and stay overnight in dalits home with whole area cordoned off with security people. Latter on he come to palace have good meal and sleep for whole day...without.any break. This high voltage drama started from dynasty itself..and now reconciling by bjp people to aware people exactly what's happened. Because people are having forget of the past. Only remembering valentine's day and forgeting amavas and surya grahna tommorow.

You go to any government offices, jobs it is full of SC ST and so called Dalits....And anybody is treating the Dalits differently by the citizens?? in fact irrespective of cast, etc.. the fact that they are doing some service you always say.. sir.. can you help me..? It is really sad that because of these kind of high headed arrogant politicians one will continue to think what we have done to bring these people by providing reservation is absolutely not right...
