Mumbai: Kannada Balaga, Gokuldham celebrates 31st anniversary

Mumbai, Feb 12: Kannada Balaga, Gokuldham celebrated its 31st anniversary at Ganesh maidan, Goregaon east on Feb 10.

President of the Balaga, Dundibail Prabhaker Poojary chaired the programme. Supreme Court advocate Shashidhar U Kaup was chief guest. Ratna International Group director Umesh Shetty and social worker Sachindra K Kotian were present as guests of honour. Former president of the Balaga, Angara Apu Bangera honored them.

Honorary president Y B Poojary, R S Kanchan, R S Shetty, vice president Prakash Kotian, Sripathi Rao, Diwaker Devadiga and honorary treasurer S N Devadiga were on the dais.



Vidwan Shivananda Bhat Mira Road conducted Satyanarayana puja, mangalarathi and distributed prasada. Rohith Devadiga and Aswitha Rohith couple were in charge of the religious programme.

Child artistes sang a prayer song. Honorary chief secretary T A Poojary gave a detailed explanation of the activities of the organization. Assistant secretary Shashidhar Bangera welcomed everyone. Joint treasurer Madhukar Kotian and others presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Assistant secretary Sushin Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

Children of the members performed dances. A Tulu comedy drama 'Pattad Patrad' was enacted by Guru Kala team under the leadership of Rohan Kumar.
