Udupi: Congress terms PM Modi 'international liar', prepares pakoda on streets

Udupi, Feb 10: Udupi block Congress members on Saturday February 10 staged a strong protest against the central government alleging that it was following an 'anti-people' policy and also prepared 'pakoda' on the streets, in an apparent jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his recent comment in a television interview to a question on employment.

A huge protest march was held from Udupi Service Bus stand to Ajjarkad.

Addressing the protestors, Youth Congress district president Amrith Shenoy said, "Modi had asked the people to vote for him. He had assured to give LPG cylinders for low rate, petrol at Rs 35 and job opportunities to 2 crore youths, but none of the promises has been fulfilled. Let him close all the universities in the country and give training to our youths to set up pakoda stalls. Due to the present condition of our country no outsider is willing to invest in our country which in turn has decreased the job opportunities."

Amrith Shenoy also termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi an 'international liar’ and finance minister Arun Jaitley a 'pakoda specialist'.

The protestors also brought push-carts and some of them also came on camel and horseback to symbolically protest fuel price hike. "If the fuel price increases so drastically, there is no doubt that one day we may need to use these horses and camels as means of transportation," said Amrith Shenoy.

Protestors shouted slogans against MP Shobha Karandlaje and ex-MLA Ragupati Bhat and invited Shobha Karandlaje to eat pakodas prepared by them on the spot.

Addressing the protest, Janardhan Tonse said, "In future, all over the district protests will be held against the central government. Youths should oppose the Modi government and support Congress. In the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections people should not support BJP and instead teach them a good lesson."

Udupi block Congress president Sathish Amin Padukere said, "With Narendra Modi as the PM, India has risen to the top not in development but in beef export. The central government has been giving slow poison to the people by regulating the fuel prices day by day. During the time of the UPA government, LPG cylinder prices were increased only twice a year, but BJP government is increasing the fuel prices every day.”

Veronica Cornelio, Narasimha Murthy, Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, Ganesh Nergi, Janardhan Bhandarkar and members of Udupi block Congress took part in protest.

Majority of us started to realise Modi's real intentions after Demonetisation.
It's becoming even more transparent now after Supreme Court's 4 judges protested against Deepak Mishra. Everyone has realised that there is no such thing as Free media and that India is a de-mock-rat-Ick country(Not my opinion. The recent democratic ranking index shows)
How can you call this country democratic and how can I claim that our constitution provides free speech when I will get jailed for writing a Post against Modi or sharing a Modi joke while I am encouraged to post Opposition party jokes?
His recent speech at the parliament clearly shows how bad the Indian economy is sinking. For everything he is taking us back 70 years ago. . If 70 years of rule has truly destroyed India how come Gas and petrol prices are more than double the prices it used to be back when Congress ruled?
One thing is clear. Modi is really scared of losing the 2019 election. If he loses, all his corruption a of his 5 year rule will get exposed. All the rule bending and Supreme court scam CBI scam Rafael scam everything will come out.

I hope everyone votes Rahul Gandhi's party. We should all know where our country truly stands.

Just open your eyes. Then only you can see the world. PM’ job is not only traveling on public money. There are thousands of issues which has to be sorted out first. Triple talaq will not give you bread. Employment is not something selling pakodas. Foreign trips didn’t bring investors. Bhashan didn’t control inflation.

Teach the Youth of India to look up to the Star and not to look down to sell Pakodas. High Promises are made to the Nation, but now to tell the unemployed youth to sell Pakodas does not make sense. Pakodas has the linguistic twist. It could be every truth or every day half truth or full of lies.

Modi is on foreign tour now. Whenever there is a problem at home he goes on his tours and comes back address election rallies with his fake news as he has nothing to say about development and employment of youth. Jaitly is a biggest feku who has messed of Indias economy. Varnashi his constituency and UP are the most polluted sate and place in India according recent Greenpeace report. Apart from communal agenda and failure of economy they have not achieved anything in last 3 years.
