Jonathan, Sophia join 'The Incredibles 2'


Los Angeles, Jan 23 (IANS): Actors Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush and Isabella Rossellini have joined the voice cast of upcoming Disney.Pixar's "The Incredibles 2".

Disney.Pixar on Monday shared a cast list that includes a few more names as well as character details for previously announced stars, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Banks will be voicing the character of Rick Dicker. He is a government leader who helps the Parr family keep their superhero identities secret as head of the Super Relocation Programme.

Bush will voice Voyd, a young Elastigirl fan who aspires to be a superhero and has the power of creating voids, allowing objects to appear and disappear. And Rossellini voices Ambassador, who advocates for superheroes to be legalized.

Disney also shared who previously announced cast members Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener will be playing.

Odenkirk plays Winston Deavor, who leads a telecommunications company with his sister Evelyn Deavor (Keener). He is a superhero fan and would like to help bring them out of hiding and back into the public eye by revamping public perception of them.

Other previously announced cast members include Parr family members Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) and their children, Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dashiell (Huck Milner) baby Jack Jack.

Samuel L. Jackson will be returning as Frozone, while writer-director Brad Bird will also have a role in the film, reprising his role as Edna 'E' Mode, who creates supersuits for the heroes.

"The Incredibles 2" is slated to release in India on June 15.
