Goel for security to man who took on AAP

New Delhi, Jan 22 (IANS): Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel on Monday said he will speak to Home Minister Rajnath Singh to protect lawyer P. Patel whose petition has led to the disqualification of AAP MLAs.

Goel tweeted that Patel met him on Monday and expressed concern over his safety and security.

"I will speak to the Home Minister to ensure his well-being. I firmly believe there should be zero tolerance for violence in politics," Goel said.

Goel's remarks came a day after President Ram Nath Kovind approved the disqualification of 20 Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs for holding office of profit as Parliamentary Secretaries.
