Shatrughan Sinha backs Kejriwal’s party against 'politics of vendetta'

New Delhi, Jan 21 (Zee News): The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which is battling a major crisis over Election Commission’s recommendation to disqualify 20 of its MLAs, has found a new supporter – veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and actor Shatrughan Sinha.

While suggesting AAP that it has no reason to worry, Sinha tweeted that “politics of vendetta or politics of vested interest just don’t last long”. He added, “Don’t worry, be happy”.

Taking to Twitter, Sinha said that AAP is the “talk of the town” and they do not have a reason to worry about the current situation.

He tweeted, “‘AAP’ Aaye,
‘AAP’ Chhaye,
‘AAP’ hi ‘AAP’ Charcha ke Vishaye (talk of the town)!!

Ghar ghar mein,
Har khabar mein,
Toh phir kis baat ki fikar ‘AAP’ ko?

Politics of vendetta or politics of vested interests just don’t last long.
Don’t worry, be happy!”

This comes a day after Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday claimed that it was being ‘victimised’ as its 20 MLAs face disqualification for holding offices of profit, even as it asserted that the party was 'not afraid of elections'.

The EC had said that the party MLAs, by occupying the post of parliamentary secretaries between March 13, 2015 and September 8, 2016, held offices of profit, and were liable to be disqualified as legislators, highly-placed sources said.

AAP Delhi unit chief Gopal Rai alleged that the poll panel failed to give the party a hearing before sending its recommendations to the president.

"It is an undemocratic step. They are taking revenge from people of Delhi, the government and the Chief Minister of Delhi," he said.

The AAP leader said the appointment of parliamentary secretaries had come up in various other states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Rajasthan, but only AAP was "being targeted".

"This is double standard. Doesn't the constitution apply to all? We are being victimised. It is worse than the British Raj," he said. The case of disqualification of AAP MLAs is up for hearing at the Delhi High Court on Monday.

Mr Sinha, instead of this useless noise why don't you oppose this move in the parliament. Next, why don't you and along with your like minded candidates send a petition to the president against this undemocratic practice.

He just wants someone from BJP react to what he says. All these statements of the past too went unattended. Very sad Mr. Shatru. Why don't you join any other party if you still have it in you to work for the people, not just give statements. I am sure, AAP will be the right one, since you hate Congress.

shatru can say whatever he wants, maybe he didnt read the High court judge comments .

The Delhi High court refused to grant any interim relief for the 20 AAP MLAs facing disqualification. A bench hearing the move expressed displeasure over the conduct of the MLAs too.
The appeal in the High Court was scheduled for an urgent late evening hearing. The AAP MLAs had pleaded that they were never given a chance to clarify their stand before the EC. However, Justice Rekha Palli, during the hearing, repeatedly pointed out that records showed the MLAs had refused to participate in the proceedings before the EC. She said she was not inclined to give any interim relief to the legislators as they had not cooperated with the election commission in its proceedings on the issue:
“You don’t have a stay from the high court but you tell the EC that it should not touch the matter as the high court is seized of it. Your conduct is such that you do not care to go before the EC. Who stopped you? The high court did not prevent you from going before the EC,”
The court further remarked that they have “tried to use the pendency of their case in the High Court as a shield”. With this, AAP’s public claim that they did not get adequate chance to put their case across to the EC, stands debunked

please do not refer high court stand in this case. Now a days how the few judges are doing their job fairly some senior judges revealed publicly few days back you know very well. every thing is not impossible to the present government of India they can go to any extent to prove themselves what ever they need it just because the criminal back ground people are the main decision makers of this government. but some people still don't understand this even some of them understand this but their mums are shut.

Shatrughan Sinha is bold and blunt like Arvind Kejriwal.
It's really sad for AAP is continually targeted just to please vested interest of industrialist friends of powerful but at the cost of democracy.
If powerful rulers become so revengeful and rule with partiality, they solely will be responsible for revolution to save the interest of common man from the clutches of self serving rulers!
Let them remember that they didn't become powerful on their own but people made them powerful.
Fate of Hitler is going to follow them, it's a matter of time.

Among the stalwarts in BJP, only 2 have the guts to speak openly against wrong doing. One is Shatrughan Sinha, member of parliament and other one is Ex-Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha.

A respectful citizen always ask questions,, why EC has used double standard. Why to disqualify 20 of its MLAs, of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their appointment of parliamentary secretaries where as similar appointments have happened and happening in Indian States. This is ridiculous.

The parliamentary secretaries of AAP are not drawing any salary for the additional work they are performing. Still, the EC is acting like rubber stamp of the dictation from the top.
