President condoles deaths in Delhi factory fire


New Delhi, Jan 21 (IANS): President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday expressed grief over the death of 17 people in a huge fire at a plastic warehouse in west Delhi's Bawana area.

"Shocked to hear about the fire in a factory in Delhi. Condolences to bereaved families. Prayers with those who have been injured," Kovind tweeted.

As many as 17 people, including 10 women, were burnt alive or asphyxiated and 30 others injured at a fire in a plastic warehouse in west Delhi's Bawana on Saturday evening, officials said.
