Udupi: Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike hosts splendid Paryaya on eve of Naada Habba

Udupi Jan 19: A grand Paryaya was organised by Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike on the eve of Naada Habba, near the KSRTC bus stop. Sri Laxmivarateertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Addressing the gathering, he said, "Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike is doing good work by protecting Tulu culture. They are a model to others."

Pramod Madhwaraj, minister of fisheries, youth empowerment and sports also visited the event.

Rohith Kumar Kateel, film actor and sportsperson, Sadananda Kanchan, managing director Udupi weavers co operative society, Haji K Abubakkar, honourary president consumer forum Parkala were honoured for their notable service.



Renowned comedian Sathish Bandale, movie director Ismail Moodushedde, film crew of upcoming Tulu movie 'Pammanne the Great' also entertained the audience. Tulu film stars like Shilpa Suvarna, Anusha Kotian, Garish Acharya, Sahil Rai and Vaishnavi Poojary entertained the gathering. Famous actress Pooja Shetty and Tulu movie director Ranjith Suvarna also accompanied them. A live concert of Bollywood, Sandalwood and Coastalwood songs by Mallika, Mithun Raj, Sowmiya and others entertained the gathering. Kannada hits like Salutillave from Kotigobba 2 and Tere Sang Yaara from Akshay Kumar’s recent hit movie Rustom won the hearts of the audience. Dance performances by renowned dancers enthralled the gathering. Ravi, Mohan, Madhusoodan joined in the music.

Ramesh Poojary, Udupi district president, Ragupathi Bhat, former MLA, Yashpal Suvarna, Rajesh Brahmavar, president Tulu film producers association, Abdul Rasheed, Jyotika Jain and members of Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike were present on the occasion.
